Budd here, I’m hijacking this weeks’ update to fill you in on probably the most awesome news update since #76 when I took over as Community Manager.

“Ok, so where’s this awesome news thing you mentioned?”

Well ladies and gentlepeeps, I’d like to proudly announce that deep down in the “ultra-top-secret-hidden-hideout” also known as the developer backer forums. A small group of community members led by forum member Sey, have banded together to produce the beginnings of an epically awesome mini game!!

Yes you heard right!! The wizards of dev backer land have spent the last several weeks designing and prototyping a mini game inspired by a certain mini game found on the VIII-th edition of some classic JRPG called final something or other ;)

But wait, there’s more!!

I could post pictures teaser shots and talk about the mini game but nahhh… Instead I’m just going to announce that even though this mini game is still in its early stages of development, with permission of its creators, I want to invite you to not only try out the community made game but… also participate by helping out and being a part of its creation!!

If you ever wanted to show off your art skills, take a stab at game programming or participate in the QA process in game development, now’s your chance!!

“OK so where’s the game? And how do I sign up to help?”

TRY THE GAME HERE!

Got feedback? Ideas? Wanna help? GOTO THE FORUMS AND MAKE A POST!!!!! You’ll find a thread with a link to the current build along with instructions on how you can contribute!

“Cool game but what if I wanted to make my own mini game?”

Easy. Get on the forums, pitch your idea, start a group, get something going!! No really, that’s all you gotta do.

Before I go...

I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate forum member Tomasz “Eskarian” Golinski on becoming an official staff member and filling in the role of web designer! He’s actually been helping us out for a while in giving the website a new facelift as well as getting a lot of things working in the background!

As our Front-End designer Tomasz will be responsible for re-designing the website. With multiple years of experience as a graphic artist, web designer, and a degree in 3D animation & game design, he will ensure that you receive the best user experience possible.

Oh right!! I forgot there is one more thing…

For everyone who’s at the developer level or higher who hasn’t been on the forums for a while, now would be a great time to come back. There’s something there for ya ;)

If you haven’t registered on the forums and still need to link your Kickstarter/Paypal accounts, you can do it at http://projectphoenix.info/createyouraccount/ (make sure you use your kickstarter/paypal e-mail!)

If that doesn’t work for you, just drop us a line at info@projectphoenix.info and we’ll give you a hand with getting your account setup.

PS. Also, it’s been a week or so since the pledge upgrade feature went live and I just wanted to let everyone know that we only have one spot left for the entrepreneur level. If you’ve been wanting to get your own NPC in the game, this is your last chance!

Cheers,

Budd

The mini game is awesome though a rule book or tutorial would be nice, although I do get the concept.

      @Daniel

NAH MAN, RANDOM PLUS SUDDEN DEATH ALL DAY

      but seriously, I wouldn't mind a mini-game in-game based on that.

Just please don't make the additional rules random. The base game was fun. Trying to figure out how 3 house rules interacted with each other made me reload multiple times.
