You were... deployed? By the MILITARY? Jeez louise - I am definitely not minding lack of communication because of that! Priorities man!

And plus, like most Kickstarters, I expect a lot of "going black" for a few months. You get funding, you work on stuff, then when it has a lot of pieces in place and starts coming together, THEN I expect to see updates ;) Maybe that's just me, but that's how I expect it to work. I'm happy just to see the concept art and art assets we've seen already, to be honest.

Would love to see B-T-S (behind the scenes) animation stuff in future blog posts when you guys get up to it. Just loads of GIFs! :D

I'm curious, is this connected to the project Phoenix Website? As when I clicked on the retrieve password/Username section of the website, I didn't receive my password/username, or a link to reset it. When I finally remembered my username I tried to sign but it said my account has not yet been activated, so I sent a request for it to be activated but got no response and have been getting no response to the emails I sent. Which is upsetting as I wish to update my pledge on the website.

Oh, I personally don't/didn't mind the lack PR, as long as it's not due to laziness or ambivalence, it's all cool. What's more, If you're trying your hardest to apply yourselves at developing the game, then I have reason to be pleased above and beyond that. ^_^ Keep up the good work!

No worries, guys. Just keep us in the loop as to what's going on, and I think we, as reasonable people, can deal with it. You all just focus on bringing us the best game you can.

Life is all about ups and downs, keep one foot in front of the other and know that your doing a great job
      thank you.

I'm happier learning about the world inside of the game, anyway! It is cool to know what goes into development, but I'll be happy if I get to play an awesome game at the end, so don't worry so much about updates! I'm looking forward to the game!

It's cool. I wish you'd have let us know sooner, but as long as you understand, I have no problems with adjusting expectations and timelines.

Meh, you are doing fine. Even with those things, you kept at least a monthly relevant update.

Good luck and keep up the good work.

To be honest, I have thought the communication via these updates has been pretty amazing. You guys were flooding my inbox there for a while and the fact that you still think that that is not enough proves your dedication to your backers. Do I want a build to play with right now? Hell yes. HELL YES. But will I be patient and not even complain when you have things happen to your team that is outside of your control? Absolutely. Just continue to keep us updated on things happening and it'll pacify most all of us.

    12. Christian Gay on

Don't worry too much about updates, we're happy enough to know every month the game developement situation, after all, if we will know everything we have no more to discover later :P Good job everyone!

    13. Caleb Benoit on

Good luck with deployment Cronus, God Bless. Stay safe!

No big deal. I'd rather have the PR department leave than the people making the game. Keep on making a great game, don't take these guys out for doing KS updates

Thanks for the update! Military deployments and Google job offers are unexpected and unavoidable forces. I'm sure you guys will continue to make things work out.

    16. Ron Sneider on

Not a problem by me. I backed this project to get a quality project and because I believe you could deliver it. It sucks that basically your PR department up and left. Good luck on your deployment dude, been there.

What a stroke of bad luck these last few months some things we cannot control. Very much appreciate the update all you can do is move forward in these situations my last year myself has taught me this. Just make the best game possible even if it takes a little longer. On a side note that is probably the cutest apology picture I have ever seen.

    18. Solaris on

No big deal. Thanks for being upfront!

Glad to hear development has still been going strong, despite the lack of much online presence. You mention a build ready in July....any news on the Vertical Cut that was hinted at about a month ago? It was rumored to be ready sometime in May, which has come and gone at this point. Is it at least something we can expect in the next week or 2?

Perfectly understandable given the circumstances. It's probably more of an annoyance at your end for losing able men due to it. I for one would recommend taking as much time as possible to set everything up right and do the whole team justice than giving out a few updates. You're doing great and I look forward to the release!

    23. Paul Andersen on

Hey, no worries. Take your time and make the game right. It's better to have a polished product than a rushed one. Good luck to you and all the team, and we have your backs!

Thanks for the update, guys. I trust you to make the best game possible and don't want to distract you too much from that goal, but it's great to hear about what's going on behind closed doors.

I backed this knowing I'd be waiting around two years, a couple months delay on an update is nothing, especially for such understandable reasons. That said I'm really looking forward to weekly updates again.

    27. Kiukiu on

Oh, thank goddess! I understand that you're busy and I don't want to impose, but I'm still worried about the message I sent a couple of months ago about the error in my shown tier reward...

      Thank you for the update!

Please know that your backers are with you on this. We supported this project because we know it has the potential to be AMAZING!

If you need any assistance, particularly as you are short staffed, please look to your developer backers for help in any way we can. There is an incredible amount of talent volunteered to your service over in the developer forum. :)

Just keep making the best game possible and I'm sure most people will happily forgive any of these kinds of hiccups, I certainly do :). Keep up the good work.

I’m okay…i’m a patient man when it comes to things outside my control.

I’m just wanting to know if the kickstarter upgrade still coming or are we just stuck, as this was the deadline given during one of the Q and A’s

    32. Jack Law on

      yeah no worries!

No worries! Just make the game you want to make! Thanks for being upfront about this stuff. Yes, we know you are human beings! Good Luck!

It's good to hear that development continues! Sorry to hear that the team has hit some snags, but at least you're finding a way forward. I look forward to seeing the game progress.
