      @Keith I'd like to know too. I know they announced the engine swap last update, but unless you already have something done on the new engine or new assets, I don't know what we could discuss in a hangout at this moment.

      I'm beginning to feel like this game isn't really being made. I want a timetable on when the expected release will be. End of 2015? Early 2016? When.

      @Hiro - all due respect...isn't THIS venue supposed to be where you communicate directly with the fans? I thought Kickstarter updates are where you are supposed to show any significant progress. I've never joined any of the previous Google Hangout sessions, mainly because the sorts of things that are typically discussed there are the sorts of things I expect to see as updates here.

      Delayed due to health issues for a number of key employees. They'll pick it back up again as soon as they're able, barring health issues. Announcement on Facebook.

      @Keith I was in the last hangout and everything that was touched upon on the meeting was put in an update afterwards, aside from some silly stuff here and there. Actual content was put in an actual KS update afterwards.

      Keep up with the updates, they had released the deadline for quite a while now. But then again, those dates were before the engine change.

      @Hunter They really should update such things on this page. Many people don't have facebook accounts or just preffer project-related updates here.

      @Jeff Also, they already showed actual game content and had a fully functional Vertical Slice demo in december for Developer tier backers. Here's the footage of the walkthrough they showed last hangout:

      @Joao, true I agree that they should announce a delay within the actual posting. For next time! They did at least post it to the main game forum too, so there's that.

      @Keith, they can provide information in whatever format they wish... also, they post the videos of the Hangouts after so you don't miss anything. Why should it matter here or there?

      Questions are answered in a live feed that give new information we wouldn't ordinarily receive otherwise, it's a good thing. More is more.

      @Hunter - The reason for requesting the info be done via Kickstarter Updates/comments is that a lot of people don't follow projects outside of the Kickstarter format, so if there is info that is discussed at these other locations (whether Facebook, Google Hangout, Twitter, etc...), there's a decent chance many people don't get that info. Kickstarter is the 1 guaranteed variable that EVERY backer has in common, and therefore makes it the proper hub for sharing project-related info and communication.

      Yeah, they can post the videos here afterwards, but watching those videos is an exercise in patience....LOTS of dead time. And why not just give an Update in the first place if there's new stuff to show, rather than delaying said info for the sake of a Google Hangout.

      @Keith, proper? Lol. Many projects move from KS to Official Website after backing is completed. There's no one "proper" way to do it.

      Lots of dead time... so skip ahead or play the dead-time in the background while you do something else if you're so worried about missing something...

      It's up to the developer's discretion to decide how to divulge new info., not to be subject to one Backer's preconceived notion of what's "proper" for information updating.

      Also, the fact they post the Hangout details to the KS alone makes it so all the Backers are aware/in the know... so no problem there, whatsoever.

      It's not like people are utterly resourceless when it comes to finding out updated details, the game does have an Official Forum/Website.

      Saving items for a Google Hangout is GREAT PR actually & should resume. The public having a chance to interact live with the Developers & have their reactions addressed on the spot... money.

      Sorry you dislike it, but your notion of "proper" is completely unfounded.

      Sorry, but Keith is completely right about the part in which you should use mainly the KS page for updates and such.

      Just because MOST do it, doesn't mean it's the best way. I agree wholeheartly that any update should be mainly here.

      Doesn't matter if they have another ways to give news, the development updates should be put HERE, at least until the game is released proper.

      @Joao, I never argued that the KS page shouldn't mainly be used for updates and such; I argued that there isn't a definitive, 'proper' way to handle it. There never was such a 'mainly' vs. 'not mainly' debate which you speak of.

      @Hunter - I'm not arguing that Kickstarter is the "best" way to divulge info...but it is the PROPER way to do it, regardless of whether you agree or not, because of the reasons I mentioned below.

      It certainly has it's limitations, but the most important factor of all (being able to reach EVERYONE) can only be achieved via a Kickstarter Update...and therefore makes it the "proper" way to deliver project-related info and communication.

      Sure, you can't do live video conferencing with on the spot Q & A....but that doesn't mean you can't have Q&A via Kickstarter comments. There's quite a few Kickstarters that have great communication via Kickstarter comments. This one does from time to time too, but it seems to come in waves.
