A video series & collectors DVD about the 30 member, a capella male choir who sing only the songs of Leonard Cohen.
The Conspiracy of Beards is a 30-member a capella male choir that performs exclusively the songs of the legendary poet, novelist, and singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen.
This year we're creating a series of videos that tell the many stories of our bohemian adventures, charitable events, performances, and shed a little light into the lives and artistic pursuits of the members in the group.
For more info, check out the video above.
Creating videos after each performance, stories about our upcoming NYC tour, and profiles on the individuals in the choir is a huge undertaking. The funds for this project will be used to produce these videos and a collectors DVD for the 2011/2012 season. We've begun the process to create these videos, DVD's, and spread our love for community choirs and the poetry of Leonard Cohen. We will continue to work closely with 12FPS, a production company led by Beard member, Adam Shaening-Pokrasso.
Your contributions will make it possible to create these videos and DVD, and through our generous rewards, will also create new opportunities to sing shows, arrange songs, and reach our growing audience and inspired fans.
You're probably curious what these videos will look like, check a few that we've created so far:
$10,500 is our minimum goal to make videos about our tour to NYC, and our remaining shows through the summer. The funds will also be used to build an interactive DVD with profiles about the members in the choir. We would love to exceed our goal, but it's also important to know that if we don't reach the full amount of $10,500 within the 45 days, Kickstarter will return all pledged money to the backers and NOTHING will go to our project. So please send what you can, help us reach the $10,500!
Special thanks to all the venues and organizations that have supported us this year.
Thanks for visiting our page & thanks for your support!
We look forward to your contributions and to sharing our story.
