Award-Winning She's Beautiful !!

Dear Friends and Supporters of She's Beautiful When She's Angry,

Our screening at Boston's Independent Film Festival was great!  We were honored by the attendance of some of the founders of Our Bodies, Ourselves, a very enthusiastic audience with lots of laughter and applause, ending in a huge standing ovation!  And then we won the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the festival!!  So happy!!

We are now meeting with distributors, and have several offers to do a limited theatrical run in the fall.  So on our way, our only impediment is raising the funds to cover music rights, and somehow we will.  We are setting up partnerships with Our Bodies, Ourselves, The New Press and others who want to promote the film by talking about women's issues on campuses and everywhere.  A lot of excitement, and lots to do!

Will be back in touch in a couple weeks for the details of the "summer sneak peak" for all of you who have waited to see the film.  Will give you an advance warning, and it will be up for exactly one week.   Once we settle with a distributor, will be able to deliver on all the downloads and DVD's.

And please, if you haven't updated your email addresses -- now is the time!   We have all your KS data, but a few people have told us that these updates aren't reaching them.  Please tell friends the news, in case they're somehow missing these messages.

Thanks for all your wonderful support!!

Mary and Nancy

      Dear SBWSA,

It's been very rewarding to be part of your journey! Congrats on this latest accolade. I don't know if it's the same caliber of filmmaking, but Green Bay has an annual film festival. And I would love love love to see the film in a theater environment. Here's the link: Congrats again!
