This is a question that has come up a bit, and it is one that honestly didn't really occur to me before it was asked.  The projects that I have backed have not had any exclusive content or bonuses that really caught my attention, and that was fine with me.  I do understand though, that you are not me, and there really should be something to balance out the risk you are taking by backing our project.  One way to do this is through exclusive content.  I have missed out on exclusives before simply because I didn't hear about the Kickstarter in time, and I really don't want to do that to anyone.  To get the good and avoid the bad, here is our plan:

All unlocked stretch goals except for the Behemoth boss mission will never be included in the base game again.  This means that backers will get this content first and at no additional cost.  We may release the unlocked content as a mini-expansion or as promo items later on so that everyone will eventually have a chance to see them, but they will be an additional purchase, and will most likely not be released until at least after the first major expansion.

Also, we just crossed the $11,000 mark with more than a month remaining!  And here is a peek at the Lurker boss art:

Good call on the "exclusives". Personally, I enjoy getting exclusives as a little pat on the back for keeping the faith and doing my little bit to help a project reach the masses, but that's probably because a lot of the times I'm on the backer side of the line. Missing out on something because you didn't know about the project until later is a bummer, but it also kind of makes sense. I can see it from both sides people seem to be really polarized in their opinions about exclusives. I think bundling extras at no extra cost, but that are also non-exclusive is a good compromise. I've also seen people offer things like Kickstarter exclusive art or similar cosmetic things that don't actually impact game play.
