PAX East is done, what's next?
I just got back from Boston, and want to thank everyone who came and played with us at PAX. Watching a booth full of people enjoying the game was an amazing feeling, and to be able to do it at a show that we absolutely love made it even better. A bit of paper napkin math over dinner last night told us that at least 300 people got to play the game over the weekend, which explains why all of us were hoarse. If you were there and haven't already, please leave a comment on how your game went for the benefit of those that didn't get the chance to play. I may have mentioned it to you there, but the reason we have no reviews is that all of our review copies were there so we could play with you in person. We did manage to impress Ryan LaFlamme from The Cardboard Republic enough that we made his top 10 things at PAX list, and he took a demo copy home so we should be seeing a review in the next few weeks.
What else happened over the weekend
While we were having a blast in Boston, all of you were busy spreading the word. We are already over 100 backers and 33% funded. As I'm writing this, we are also #24 on the Kicktraq hot list for tabletop games, which is based on popularity, momentum, and activity, all of which are thanks to you. Our Facebook page is also seeing more activity, and we are over 100 likes, which is 20% of the way to adding an additional character to the base game. Speaking of characters, there will now be of 13 of them, thanks to 5 very generous backers wanting to be in the game. We also added another warehouse that we will ship the game from, which lowered the shipping cost for backers outside the US, Canada, and the EU.
Our first order of business is to respond to all of the messages, comments, and threads that happened while we were gone. Once that is done, we will be concentrating on a gameplay video and instructions, and sending most of our review copies out for review. We know that it is hard to back a game when you don't know a ton about it, so we will get these things done and posted as soon as we can. In the meantime we sincerely appreciate your support, and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
