Cards, and PAX East

Posted by Dave Schroeder (Creator)

It's been an exciting couple of weeks around here.  Finishing the tiles was huge, and not just because they were a huge chunk of the game parts.  All of the examples in the instructions have now been updated with the final tiles, and the final form of the tile icons and colors have been propagated throughout the instructions, cards, and quick reference sheets.

PAX East

We took a weekend off from making the game, and took it to Boston to have people play it.  We painstakingly crafted a set of tiles with the new back, and the latest version of the cards so that we could get feedback on those in an actual gameplay setting.  Much like last year, it was exhausting but incredible.  We had roughly 250 people play over the weekend, and aside from some character ability wording (which has since been fixed) all of the questions were easy to answer since they are covered in the instructions.  We love teaching the game, but we're most likely not going to be at your house when you first play it, so that was very reassuring.

We even saved the backer refugees a few times.

We have finalized the character cards, so that is another thing checked off the list.  Here are a few of them:

This leaves just the mission and minor objective cards, the box, and the manual and then it's off to the presses.
