My name is Cameron and I created 907 Gamers in Nov 2013. I wanted to create a free to join community of Alaskan Gamers.
It all started with registering the domain name www.907gamers.com. A few of my gamer friends and I started inviting our gamer friends to a Facebook group. This group exploded in size. We had no idea how many gamers there are in Alaska! I'm writing this article on 4/04/2014 and we are currently at... 1041 members. We've expanded the group beyond Facebook into different networks. We have a Steam Group, Teamspeak Server, YouTube channel and Twitch.tv Channel. We continue to grow in size daily and the time has come to produce our own gamer gear.
We want to build up the community of gamers and people interested in gaming here in Alaska. This a platform for doing that. A central hub where gamers in Alaska can communicate and share ideas.
This project will allow us to get our members shirts and if we surpass our goal to even start funding our next merchandise project. If we meet our financial goal then we break even and provide shirts for our members at no cost.
If we surpass our goal, the rest of the donations spill over into creating more 907 Gamers gear such as hoodies, stickers, magnets, mouse pads, etc!
This is the beginning step towards growing into something bigger. If 907 Gamers had a budget and had funding beyond my own wallet, I think it could do big things. It's a dream of mine to eventually host the largest LAN the state of Alaska has ever seen.

907 Gamers and this Kickstarter would not be possible without the amazing members and the hard working administrative team behind the scenes. A huge thank you goes out to all those who make this the best gaming community in Alaska.
Thank you to one of our members, Rusty Musick for providing the square stickers at no cost to add to this Kickstarter. Also, thanks go out to Sam Peters for the Kickstarter Supporter Special Edition stickers and magnets. You guys rock!

Risks and challenges
We have to make our goal to make this financially feasible. Any excess funds will spill over into our next project which will start June 1st. We plan to start another Kickstarter to fund different merchandise such as hoodies and vehicle stickers.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
There are several shirts being used for this project:
Mens Adult Lightweight Tee
100% Pre-Shrunk Combed Ring Spun Cotton
Narrow Rib Collar
Double Needle Sleeves and Bottom Hem
Taped Neck and Shoulders
100% Combed Ring Spun Cotton
Classic semi-contoured silhouette
Shoulder to shoulder tape
Double-needle sleeve and bottom hem.
Tall shirts would be using a different brand entirely:
Port & Company® - Tall Essential T-Shirt. PC61T.
Black is the only shirt color available at this time since the logo has parts that are black and uses the material of the shirt as a color.
There will be several ways to pick up your shirt after this Kickstarter is completed.
1. Meet at the designated time and place to pick up a shirt. I thought it might work well if we all met for a Zerg and then I gave shirts out at that point.
2. Shipping is available anywhere in the US but costs a bit extra.
3. I can always hold it for you until you are able to meet with me in person at another time if you cannot make it to the Zerg.
I've chosen a store here in Anchorage called Shirts Up. It's a little more expensive to go local but I think after seeing the work Shirts Up has done that it will be best option and I feel good having an Alaskan group help support an Alaskan business. If you guys want to check out the site for the company making these shirts head on over to the link below. Here is a link to their portfolio. They do amazing work.
S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL
Tall is also an option as well.
I will be sending a survey out at the end of the Kickstarter with all options relating to your rewards as a backer.
Only the $100 tier and higher have custom gamer tags labeled on them. These become a custom order and are more expensive.
