Announcing Stretch Goals: PS4, Xbox One, Wii U
Hey everyone! Alex here.
I'm now in Los Angeles, meeting with a couple of partners before heading back to Seattle on Friday. This trip is pretty crazy, between running around meetings and manning the GDC booth, and getting so much feedback on the game.
There was a lot of feedback at GDC. Based on it, we decided to do console-centric stretch goals. I know, not everyone likes stretch goals -- but after talking with representatives from Unity, Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo, seems like we can pull it off.
That said, the stretch goals:
- Stretch Goal $75k = Xbox One version
- Stretch Goal $85k = PS4 version
- Stretch Goal $95k = Wii U
We've got Xbox One devkits in the Seattle office already, and I will bring one back to the Netherlands mid-April, after PAX East. We are a licensed developer on Xbox One, PS4, and Wii U. The goals are in such a particular order because of how we'd want to do it right now.
We have devkits for Xbox One and can start testing on them, get familiar with certification requirements. Then use that for a different platform with same input methods (PS4), and then port it to dual screen controls with slightly different online support (Wii U).
Who's going to PAX East in Boston? Be sure to checkout JetGetters there at the tinyBuild booth (sandwiched between Blizzard and Square Enix)
