What this world needs is a comic book that a) details a day in the life of a kid in high school in the mid-eighties as he tries to make it through morning detention and b) provides another chapter in the ongoing saga of a werewolf biplane pilot. Am I right?
I'm doing this Kickstarter to cover printing costs for Injury 4, and also to get the word out. The book is FINISHED. It's in the can, the pages are scanned, the high-fives have been doled out. All's that needs to be done is for me to give the printer the green light. So once we get this thing funded, it won't be too long before you have comic-in-hand. Most likely May 2012.
Here's the rundown of what's in the book:
"A Birdsong Shatters the Still," is a story by Jeff Wilson with art by Ted May, starts off early one spring morning as a gang of teens congregate outside high school getting high and discussing Maiden just before going to morning detention. But can these addled young adults make it through said detention without garnering even further punishment?
"Blades of Grass," is by Ted May with art by Mike Reddy featuring the character Beast Biplane from Injury Comics #3. Beast's best bud Brat Fink wakes up hungover and must contend with arch nemesis, Greg whilst cleaning up revellers' wreckage from the night before. Meanwhile Beast must go mano a mano with a new, sick villain: Steve in Valor! This is just the start of an amazing new story. Get in on the ground floor, etc!
Injury Comics #4 is a 36 page b/w standard size comic book. It's the latest in the series, but there are no continuing stories. You won't be missing anything if for some shocking reason you haven't read issues 1 thru 3. Thanks for your interest! Pass it along.
