Using the first person view.
Breakthrough in video games often comes from communities of passionate gamers and modders. I grew up playing mods on games like Warcraft and Counter Strike. To experience so much creativity is amazing : Counter strike, MOBA and Battle Royale are all born from this modding community: Mods push video games forward.
That said, while developing and modding games is awesome, we all know there's a barrier for entry due to the complexity and technical knowledge required. With Playcraft I want to speed up the process and remove these technical barriers, making the joy of modding accessible for everyone and bound only by their creativity.
It’s so exciting to see people have fun with Playcraft! The feedback and support I get from the game's growing community means everything.
Making something unique is the greatest feeling, and with Playcraft you can share this experience with your friends and the world!
The model is based on cosmetic-only items like hats, contains no timers or pay to win elements.
The Pro Pack contains all the Creation mode's extra features, such as the ability to increase your fly speed, unlock character customization options like glowing effects, plus an exclusive hat!
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to Playcraft:
Leandre monette for the music and sound effects.
Paul Rebar for the Playcraft logo.
Philippe Groarke for his great ideas and programming skills.
Lastly, a huge thank you to the Unreal engine community for the amazing tools and assets.
Special thanks to those influencers who believe in Playcraft :
Let me know if I missed any of you!
Hi! I’m Adrien Quay-Thevenon. I originally hail from France but I've been living in Montreal, Canada for the past seven years. More than anything else I love to play and create video games, particularly multiplayer games that let players express their creativity.
I've been a game designer and programmer at indie studios including illogika and Spearhead Games for over eight years. However, I quit my last job in early 2017 to work full time on Playcraft.
I think creativity is one of the most important skills we can develop.
Thank You !
Thank you so much for checking out Playcraft. I can’t wait to discover your awesome creations!
The community is the most important part of Playcraft, so please help me expand it by sharing this campaign. I'll continue to listen to community feedback and build the game we all want to play.
Any extra funds will be redirected into development such as new characters, items and features. I plan to expand, optimize and support the game looooong after release.
Risks and challenges
I started developing Playcraft full time early 2017, and most of the core is already there.
What's left now is mainly bug fixes, as well as working on the player progression / tutorials.
While Playcraft is a multiplayer online experience, you have the possibility to host your own servers, as well as playing offline : It will never shut down.
The main challenge for Playcraft is to grow an active community.
