At Manna Nutrition LLC, we make whole food nutrition bars with raw and organic superfood ingredients. Our bars are free of refined sugars, artificial colors, and artificial flavors, and we created Manna Bars to deliciously fill common nutritional gaps found in the Standard American Diet.
Manna Bars Are...
- Sustainably Sourced
We've met FDA requirements and partnered with an amazing US-based manufacturer, so Manna Bars are shelf ready. We're seeking support from our family, friends, and the Kickstarter community to purchase raw ingredients and packaging for our first large batch and to complete our company's website.
Our mission is to empower others in their pursuit of health and well-being. We are dedicated to simplifying clean eating through continuous education and innovation of trustworthy products. We also recognize that everyone isn't blessed with the right to choose when or how they eat and drink.
As a brand, we are committed to bringing water to families and children in developing countries. A portion of each Manna Nutrition purchase will be used to fund short and long-term clean water, sanitation, and hygiene solutions in areas of need. Check out our rewards as we've come up with some very cool ways to get clean water to the people who need it faster.
Our goal is to deliver close to 1,000,000 liters of filtered drinking water to families and children in 2017.
Flavors + Nutrition...
We've done a lot of research and worked with a development specialist to bring nutrient dense bars that are rich in heart-healthy fats to our current and future customers. Here's why...
"For more than half a century, the conventional wisdom among nutritionists and public health officials was that fat is dietary enemy number one – the leading cause of obesity and heart disease. It appears the wisdom was off. And not just off. Almost entirely backward. According to a new study from the National Institutes of Health, a diet that reduces carbohydrates in favor of fat – including the saturated fat in meat and butter – improves nearly every health measurement, from reducing our waistlines to keeping our arteries clear, more than the low-fat diets that have been recommended for generations. "The medical establishment got it wrong," says cardiologist Dennis Goodman, director of Integrative Medicine at New York Medical Associates. "The belief system didn't pan out." It's not the conclusion you would expect given the NIH study's parameters." - via Men's Journal.
Risks and challenges
Our primary challenge at this time is funding a large order of raw materials and packaging that allows us to meet our production minimums and maintain suitable margins. We've worked with a highly qualified team of mentors and have mapped a number of ways we can arrive at a successful launch and delivery of rewards in 2017.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
