Stretch Goal Unlocked

What an amazing first five days. The Jasper flew past the half million dollar mark. Thank you so much for your support and trust.

Wing Shelf Stretch Goal Unlocked

$500K means we've hit the first stretch goal! Wing shelves are unlocked. They will be an add-on you can choose in the pledge manager after the campaign.

Wing shelves are great for two things. Dungeon Masters and snacks. It gives you a flat surface at either end of your table. You sacrifice a little bit of playing area and get a little desk for a laptop, or a side table for some popcorn. They can also make the table feel a little more intimate when you are playing two player games.

They are very versatile so it is a little hard to explain exactly how they are useful. But they are the accessory that Duchess owners keep coming back to us and asking if they can get one (or get a second one).

Note: This is a picture of a wing shelf from one of our custom built tables. We don't have pictures of a wing shelf on a Jasper yet, but the idea is the same.

Schedule Clarification

When you pledge for The Jasper, Kickstarter lists the estimated delivery date as September 2019. But there is also a comment in there that says some tables will deliver soon. This has caused some confusion for people who didn't see the shipping schedule portion of the campaign page.

Kickstarter made us pick one "delivery date" per pledge level. This makes sense if you are getting something printed or making a movie. For furniture, we will be shipping tables as we make them. We choose our date based on when we estimate the 2500th backer will get their table. We didn't want to mislead anyone.

You can see the full schedule above.

So far 606 tables have been purchased by backers. That means if you back right now, we estimate delivery of your table in March 2019 (not September).

If you have friends who are thinking about this campaign, make sure they understand this. Every Kickstarter has a burst of pledges at the end of the campaign. If they back now, they can ensure a spot in line in front of those people.

Thanks again.

Wesley... +1 for the DiceMasters suggestion!
My question is, if I'm getting the topper, why wouldn't I just use one end of that as the "wing shelf?"

      @James
Duchess owner here. Didn't get a wing shelf but wanted one and will be ordering one here. We have done much gaming on our Duchess and I have seen many possible uses for it since. Some personal examples: For Mansions of Madness to set up the computer at one end for all to see, for snacks as has been mentioned, for all the card decks when playing big games like Eldritch Horror, for KDM to have a little writing area for character sheets, grids and all that bookkeeping, or even to place down the center to section off two separate playing areas for four players to play smaller two player games simultaneously such as Magic or Dice Masters, etc, tournament style, then switching up opponents. There are many more but that's just to name a few.

Wing shelf is listed at $79 on the main page.

If there are any Dutchess backers here, can they say what they use their wing shelf for? What are the people buying one planning to use it for?

What are you thinking price-wise for the wing shelves?

If you're 865, and there's 870 backers(according to the top of the page), I'd hazard a guess that you're pretty far back in the line right now. We can't necessarily say that that will stay the same though, given that some of those $1 backers might pledge for a table sometime in the next 26 days, which won't change their backer number and will probably put them ahead of where you currently are in the table build list. Either way, seems like you have a really good chance at March, maybe early April assuming everything stays on schedule and goes according to plan. *knock on wood*

It's hard to know where in the queue you are. Kickstarter tells me I'm backer 865. You say 606 tables have been ordered. That makes it hard to have any clue where I am.

Not a complaint, and I'll be ordering some shelves (yaay), but it's just a weird scheduling limbo.
