@lacey you can access the survey using your kickstarter account. In case you are unable to find it, we have also sent you reminder email containing the link for the survey. In case you are unable to access that either, let us know, we will resend the survey form to you over email.
Hello, I didn't realize that I never receive any email about the link for the survey since April 11th...I wonder is it too late for me to complete the survey (since I am one of $35 pledgers)? Thank you!
Congrats, you made it!
Now off to the next step and make KAALINK widely available with a wide network of discharge points and cashback on your products for every delivery. =D
Well - maybe I was just dreaming - but I hope there will be some follow up.
Best regards - Markus
@kyla yes. we are also working out the logistics of supplying refills (ink) through art supply stores in most of locations worldwide by the end of this year.
@Josh "Panda Club" thanks for all the great suggestions. We are working out US launch plans and will keep your suggestions in our mind. The time taken to fill the device varies on the pollution being emitted by cars. And it varies from case to case. An old diesel Euro 2/3 car lasts easily for 2-3 weeks. It doesn't require replacement with a new unit. The captured pollution is removed from the device and it can be then reused.
I am no artist but I absolutely love the idea and just had to back it.
Regarding the Pollution capture device. If I may suggest you should get a contract signed with a national auto parts store in the USA.
You could sell it for say $20 for the first one and then each time they return to the store they can exchange the old one for a $10 discount on a new unit. The auto parts store would then send the old units back to your labs for recycling.
Also you could offer a coupon inside the box with the device for a discount on your air markers product.
Very happy to have backed this project. One question about the T-shirt tho. Are they available in North American sizes? I am very stocky and fat and would require a A commonly North American XXL. Which generally trends much, much, larger than European or SE Asia XXL
@Louis. We will be launching our Pollution capture devices too. Please note that the device only captures pollution. The inks are made thereafter through separate processes.
@adrian thanks for your wishes and for pledging your support for our campaign. Please do drop in your email ID over message so that we can be in touch over emails.
Will other sized pens/markers be made available in the future? It looks like there are a few in the project images that are not available through reward tiers at present.
Amazing...I found this on a Flipboard magazine article and I was totally floored...I hope this project receives full funding...I wish them the best of luck...I would like to help in any capacity...Let me know how and it will be done...just amazing...
@Jonathan Air-Ink is very much like any other ink except for the fact that we use purified carbon soo, Air-Ink is not made for inhalation or ingestion.
Further, particulate matter is harmful due its ability to float in air and thus becoming a carcinogenic material. By binding it into inks, we prevent it to float in the air :) So do not expect any toxic environment beyond what normal inks may create.
Also, how safe is it when used in large quantities? Wouldn't using it in large quantities create a toxic environment? Especially if inhaled? Kind of like a concentrated dose of pollution.
You guys should market a device that captures the exhaust. Sell it, and have people sell back their captured carbon emissions. Endless supply of ink. Plenty of customers.
@Carlos: Just confirmed. Could you send us a direct message? We can figure a way to make it reach Boston.
@Erin: Yes. Packaging is made from a recycling material designed by one of our scientist+artist collaborator. Our backers will receive an update very soon. :)
@Teresa: These inks are weather proof and will not get affected by light water exposure. Its perfect for outdoor murals- e.g. See what we did in Hong Kong with outdoor murals and Tiger. https://www.youtube.com/watch…
Also, if you want to order more markers: just send us a message, pledge the multiplier- and we'll customize your reward :)
This is brilliant. And I'm wondering if I can do one further. I own a large automated screen printing shop just outside of Boston: Inkify.com what would it take for us to buy a 5 gal drum of black screen printing ink.
Have you tested curing time and washability?
We would love to support the project further and if it's not cost prohibitive, give the ink a commercial application.
Hi! Is this water soluble? Eg. Can I paint over it with water in a watercolour sketchbook? Also, can I use it on a wall to outline a mural I did in wall paint? How long will a marker last? Can you please create a tier with just more markers? Thanks! Hope to see a pen in your next campaign :)
This is such a fascinating product! As an artist who is conscious of the environment this gets me really excited. I am curious- what is the packaging made out of?
@bel57: Thank you for reaching out! We address this in our FAQs:
"Since this is a Singapore based project, all prices outside of Singapore are converted from Singapore dollars. The USD prices in our rewards graphic are estimates based on the current conversion rate."
