movie has two things in common: they’re magical, and they begin with a
dream. And sometimes, the movie itself is a magical, thrilling story
about a man with a dream. “The Stooge” is that movie.
a screenplay by acclaimed writer Christopher Priest (author of “The
Prestige”), the story follows Barry, a
downtrodden but determined man who dreams of changing his life by
working as a magician’s assistant. Once he enters the world of a
legendary illusionist, a beautiful, mysterious showgirl, and their
awe-inspiring stage act, Barry soon realizes that the art of magic
reveals more surprises than he could ever have imagined.
And just like Barry, we, the filmmakers, are hoping for a chance to realize our biggest dreams.
AREKITA PRODUCTIONS is raising at least $15,000 for the production of THE STOOGE.
Our immediate goal is to present the finished
film for the purpose of showcasing the abilities of the multi-talented
creative team we have formed, in an effort to secure investors for
future feature film projects and provide us with the means to prove our
mission statement: to produce motion pictures of extraordinary quality
that raise the bar throughout the industry and provide audiences with
innovative, thought-provoking, and enjoyable entertainment.

phases of our project, and the next logical step is to secure
financing. We believe that the quality of our project will benefit
from members of our award-winning production team and their impressive
track records of proven industry experience, including
producer/production manager Tom Joyner, cinematographer Nancy Schreiber,
and director Rogelio Fojo.
Budget and Production Plan:
member of our
production team will be devoting their talents and efforts in such a
way that allows our budget to be mostly allocated toward production expenses and submission
fees for film festivals and industry showcases, and catering. Post-production services will be provided at no cost by a prominent post-production facility. Depending on financing, a
