Fechtbuch documentary (aka Combat Academy) released for all backers!

Posted by Warhorse Studios (Creator)

The 60 minutes "Fechtbuch: The Real Swordfighting behind Kingdom Come" documentary (known as “Combat Academy”) as a former Kickstarter Stretch Goal is available now. Even though the eligible backers were the ones with the Knight Tier or higher, we decided to distribute it to every backer. Others can purchase the fully synchronized (English/Czech) movie for $3.99 / €3.99 / £2.99.

One of the crucial elements of Kingdom Come: Deliverance is medieval combat, which Warhorse Studios developed similarly to the other aspects of the game, i.e. as faithfully as possible, in order to show how medieval warriors really fought.

The documentary Fechtbuch is a record of what we learned in pursuit of that goal, and a guide to some of the secrets of historical martial arts. Leading Czech and Slovak fencers cooperated with us to create an outstanding fighting experience.

The documentary is available in your Steam app (Library/Movies) just like the Making Of doc. If you haven’t already, please link your profile on our website with your Steam profile. If you need any help, please contact our

Band of Bastards DLC out now!

Our third DLC will focus heavily on combat, which means that Henry must fight his way through this one and thankfully, he will have a little help...

Sir Radzig appoints you to make the roads around Rattay safer by working together with his old acquaintance, the impoverished but wily Baron Kuno of Rychwald, and his infamous mercenary band. They set out to patrol the province and soon discover that Radzig's sworn enemies from long ago have come to settle old accounts. The rival bands engage in a tit-for-tat war that finally culminates in an inevitable showdown.

Thanks guys for the progress and keep pushing forward in this complex and amazing project of yours. Even there is still a LOT to do, I am deeply impressed how you fought your way through all the hardship of all the whiners and nay-sayers with your dedication.
I look forward how you keep improving your game and add future content and stretch goals.
You guys made Indie history. Keep charging. :)

I still haven't played the original as the Head Bob effect makes me violently ill.

As a single player game I don't understand why you can't have an option to turn it off.
