Where is this backers page with the update on console versions?
Is it possible to change platforms? I'd selected PS4 a long time ago, but my PS4 broke and I only have a PC now. I can't figure out how to change my selection. Can anyone help me?
@Timo: The procedure is the same for console backers too, login you your profile on February 13th to get the code for selected console, please.
How do I connect steam to my account?
I sent you a Twitter message, but I can't find the Contest Post to re-Tweet. Can you provide a link to the Tweet please?
What is the contest post? Is it the currently pinned one? it doesn't mention anything on the contest so I'm a bit confused.
I know you don't support Linux and you probably won't but this is why i backed you guys:
"We plan to release the game on all major platforms: PC, Mac, Linux and next-gen consoles. You will be free to choose any platform the game will be released on as your reward. "
So along with all the great content you are doing, i also would like an update on this on every updates you post. A simple "Still no plan for Linux/MacOs" is enough but it will be fair to treat your backer not only as greedy people that want to win prizes but also as people that trusted you and you probably also want to return this favor.
Wow @Sylvain... I won't argue anything in your message to Warhorse... that's not my battle. But calling those of us that desire to enter the contest "greedy" is a little bit uncalled for. Maybe you should choose your words more carefully, yeah?
About the contest: Please do any Twitter post you want, just add #WantKCD. We will add you to the contest too. The contest post will be posted soon!
I'd also like to know how to link my Steam account to my KC:D/Warhorse account, as I don't see this option in the Profile page. Thanks.
Joining Damon and Paulo in the confusion regarding how to link my KCD account to my Steam account...
I am sorry for the confusion. As stated on our website, please wait till release :-)
Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be released February 13th, 2018. We will distribute the rewards in the first week after the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance. To get your copy, please login to your profile on our website and connect it to your Steam account any time after this date. The game will be added to your Steam account and the loading starts. The game will be playable on February 13th, but the exact hour depends on your time zone.
So not everyone gets every language? :( Just because I live in a region doesn’t mean I don’t want French or German voiceovers...
This seems a bit needlessly convoluted.
So we have to go to this backer page at somepoint after the game is released, (differing by timezone, could we atleast get a list of this somewhere then?) and then link our website account to our steam accounts for some reason..?
Why not just send us out keys like literally every single other method of third party steam game acquisition does?
Looks like we'll miss out on preloading with this bizzare system also.
Thank you for the Twitter advice. I've done Tweeted! :)
@Stephen: Please wait for more info. You will get your game one way or another :-)
Thanks Warhorse and Timo Vlot. I was about to ask about how console rewards were going to be handled (since linking to Steam would not facilitate the digital delivery of an Xbox One game). I see now that I'm worried about nothing. See you in a couple weeks!
Damn...Vavra. You're looking good. :) I wish the studio and the release everything well.
And I hope there will be at some point a workshop for mods as I would love to see some Game of Thrones conversion as well down the road. ;)
I absolutely do not want this game on Steam. I backed for the PC version hoping it would be on Gog.com, direct download, humble download (not steam code), or some other DRM-free option. If this is not going to be the case I'd like to switch my platform if at all possible. For me:
DRM-free (non-Steam) PC > Xbox One X > PS4 > Xbox One (no X enhancements) > PC (steam)
So there is no info on when backers can expect to receive console physical versions.
Warhorse provide a no quibble refund service to macOS and Linux backers, or at least they did a couple of years ago.
About physical copies - we are working night and day to be able to deliver ASAP after release, but we really can't guarantee a delivery window. Hopefully all packages should be delivered between February 14th and 16th. It is almost 10.000 packages, really a lot of work for two distribution companies! Thank you for support and being with us!
How do I connect Steam to my account? I have no such button in the profile.
The problem is solved.
How do you connect your stream account? there is no button in the profile.
oh nevermind, it is ON the 13th, not before. Still a silly way to do things.
I’ve noticed on the backers page that my digital distribution for PS4 is now listed as Steam and Windows PC. I’ve sent a general email request on how to have this changed. I had it selected as PS4 on and prior to the December 20th Kickstarter email. Not certain why it is listed as Steam and Windows since I don’t own a Windows computer. Can someone please contact me on how to have it corrected. Again digital distribution for PS4.
Is it possible to switch from Steam to Gog as Kingdom Come will be available on it ?
I too would really prefer getting Kingdom Come: Deliverance on the friendly DRM-free GOG platform rather than on Steam if possible.
I also prefer GOG key instead of Steam, especially when KC:D is available for pre-order on GOG too...
Add my +1 for the GOG version too. It doesn't matter that we have to wait two more weeks for the DRM free version.
Hopefully Warhorse reconsiders. We helped fund this, it would be appreciated to get the superior, DRM-free version of the game.
You can add me to the list of "I would much rather a DRM-Free GOG Key than a Steam one" people
Doesn't linking my Steam account require that I set all privacy settings to public? Why not just give us our key on the backer page? It doesn't make any sense to me.
I also though I was getting a steamless version. I prefer gog over steam
I would also voice my support for an additional GOG copy for backers, or at least the possibility to opt-out from Steam.
I'm in my "Profile" and do not see any way to connect it to my Steam account. I've noticed many others with this problem as well. Can you please help us Warhorse?
Also, I chose a physical reward, but will I still get a key to use to download the game? I would prefer to not wait extra days waiting for a physical copy to arrive in the mail.
"To get your copy, please login to your profile on our website and connect it to your Steam account any time after this date. (Feb 13)"
Just read this... So, we will not be able to link our account until the 13th. Got it
@Austin: Yes, backers with the physical rewards will get the code to the profile.
Can we just get a Steam key like every other game does this?
I don't want to connect my Steam account to anything.
Please provide a separate Steam key, I don't want to connect my Steam profile to any 3rd party.
Why can't we link our steam account already so we can start preloading the game as everyone else can? This is a handicap to the backers.
@Frikencio: No one is able to preloading the game on Steam, don't worry :-] We are working on the with Steam, lets hope for the best!
@Warhorse Studios - How about those who wants the GOG version of the game? Can we wait until February 27th and then get the game?
Hi! I backed for a DRM-Free version. Can I have a GOG code? I don't need steam. :)
just send me a GoG code once its available otherwise, dont bother. this linking of accounts is not only sketchy but also WAY to complicated.
@Warhorse -- The text about connecting one's Steam account to the Profile in your webpage is ambiguous ("any time after this date"). Please clarify that this procedure, the "connection", will only be available after the game is fully released ("any time after February 13").
Really displeased with the delivery time for the physical ps4 version in Canada still not here!!!! also you are still responsible even if it is a distributor I hate excuses.
