@Stas Oskin - Yes, the model changed. I don't think that the pre-alpha and alpha versions of Henry were every going to stay that model. They've made the model look much more like the actor now... which I'm pretty excited about, actually. He looks a lot more like a real person now than a decent 3D man model.

I'm really disappointed to hear there will likely be no Linux version... I backed the game for it, there is just no way I'll install WIndows just to play a game. If it's confirmed there will be no Linux version, is it possible to get a refund ?

Glad to have some real news this time ! Awesome trailer and glad to see that the game is faithful to the kickstarter campaign !

Phew! At first when I read the headline that there was a release date, I was worried that the game was being rushed out! I was quite relieved to read that it's actually not for another good number of months! Thank you for taking the time this deserves! :)

A version on GOG would be appreciated indeed, though since I have a physical edition, I could understand if the DVD only contained a Steam-installer.

      @Neo
Linux support is getting more and more unlikely. See https://forum.kingdomcomerpg.com/t/update-linux-version/32997 for the latest info regarding this topic.

Personally, my currnt hope is that by Feb 2018, Wine's support for DX11 will be far along enough to run the Windows version. If not, well, there's worse things than losing 30€.

So if I have Linux on my PC - I'll be able to run Kingdom Come?

Sweet news we've all been waiting years for. Wonder if that includes the physical editions too. And if I'm being honest, I'm not digging the new cover art but suppose I should get used to it. Great update, can't wait.

@ Sebastian I am pretty certain they announced there would be no Linux version many months ago.

Great news, and nice trailer as well. No GOG version though? :-(

Is there a way to upgrade my (soldier) pledge to get the game on PS4?

    18. Jan M on

Yo! What's up with macOS release day? I pledged on the grounds of a rare occurrence — RPG for macOS. I hope it's still on a roadmap.

      Great news!
You won't hear me complain about the 2,5 year delay, I prefer a good game over a rushed game any day.

Any news on a mac release?
I know it was in the original pitch and I hope it's just delayed and not scrapped altogether.

This just made my day. Thank you Warhorse Studios.

I have to say, over the last few months, my 'hype' for KCD kind of withered and disappeared, due to lack of new info about the state of the game. The same happened with Star Citizen, so I started to be afraid of what was going to happen to the game.
But, now, having such a great trailer, showing exactly what KCD is supposed to be, and giving us players a release date, just revived all my love and expectation for this project. So, to everyone a Warhorse Studios, you're doing great, don't rush anything, if the game needs more time, take it. I believe I can wait a bit more for such a treasure of a game.

Thank you again, Love, Peace and Fun to you guys.

Hi, first: congratulations on this big news! Really happy with your achievements.

Now my question: I did not touch the game anymore ever since alpha launched. I want to play this game for its story and found I'm not really an alpha kind of player. So I left it for what it was till release. My question is in what state the game is right now? Can we play the game like it will be in February ? Or is that still months away (which I expect since the release date is still a few months away).
