Hi there! I'm Kristin, the founder of Seamly.co. We encourage women to engage with their clothing -- learn where it came from, who made it, and why that matters to people and planet.
A few months ago, our community co-created this amazing sweatshirt, dubbed the "Moto Sweatshirt." We swapped design ideas, voted on colors and details, and collectively created the raddest sweatshirt ever.
But, we need your help to create it. We're a small company, trying to meet fabric minimums for this AMAZING, (seriously) warm, Canadian-knitted fleece. We need to raise at least $10,000 before we can order all of the fabric needed to make the Moto Sweatshirt.
The Seamly.co Tee | We created this tee from scratch, here in Colorado, using a rayon/lycra fabric knitted in the USA. They're SUPER comfy, durable, and are the perfect length for shorts or leggings. See our sizing chart here.
THE MOTO SWEATSHIRT | It looks sharp. It feels warm. It's a sweatshirt that can be worn anywhere without shame. Cuffs on the sleeves and waist to keep the cold out, molded zippers on the pockets and front, cowl neck that can be worn two ways. Sewn with durability and longevity in mind, right here in Colorado. See our sizing chart here.
AND, FOR EVERYONE | ALL of our backers will get to see the Moto Sweatshirt come to life, through a short film showcasing our people and manufacturing. It's our way of including you in the process, and sharing our deep appreciation for made-in-the-USA.

Risks and challenges
This is my second campaign on Kickstarter, and believe me... I learned a lot of lessons from my first time around!
We've already ordered a portion of fabric for the Moto Sweatshirt, and production is lined up and ready. Once the sweatshirts have been sewn, they'll go to our fulfillment center in Michigan, where they'll be (professionally) shipped to all of you lovely folks.
While I feel confident about our timeline, there is always a risk that deliveries don't make it on time. If you're supporting us, please understand that there are unanticipated challenges -- but we'll be doing our very best to make good on shipping estimates!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
