The day has finally come when you will change the face of science and humanity’s knowledge… forever. Today you will launch the time machine you’ve worked on for so many years. You kept a low profile and managed to keep the whole thing a secret, but not for much longer, soon your name will be printed in bold font in all history books (in the section with all the cool scientists, not those evil, nasty ones!) across the globe!
Everyone’s at their posts. Transformers are running at full power, all systems checked, tools ready. Time to … START!
A blinding light fills the whole room, you feel a gentle breeze of an energy wave. You decide it is safe to open your eyes again. In a moment you should see a portal leading into the past… just now...
What in Einstein’s name happened?! Why did so many portals open all at once?! … WHAT ARE THESE CREATURES?! AND WHY ARE THEY SWALLOWING DR. FERGUSON?! Alright, it is time to clean up a bit before you can see your name in those history books...
After the extraordinary experiment that took place at UK Games Expo our scientists didn’t dally. They concluded that murderous jelly, bloodthirsty toys or sky pirates are not enough. They decided to face another challenge and check if somewhere out there among different dimensions the fabled ancient ones actually exist.
With trembling hands we’d like to unveil, in front of you, our young researcher, the secret files of experiment code name - Multiuniversum Project: Cthulhu.
Well, some people are simply masters at explaining rules, so we’d like to invite you for the rules explanation of the original Multiuniversum game, with Professor Rahdo.
Not enough? Perhaps the written records will suit you better – download rulebook.
The stars are right and you know what that means! Yes, our scientists have opened a portal to R'lyeh and bad stuff is coming through. Multiuniversum’s first expansion includes a new set of portals which replace the original ones and bring in new mechanics and risks.
Video tutorials are so much better than text descriptions. That said, let professor Bartek introduce you to Multiuniversum Project: Chtulhu.
So what are we changing here?
Portals: Every time you close a portal you lose a bit of your sanity, represented by insanity cards.
Insanity Cards: These cards are something new and nasty. As you close portals you’ll collect them and they’ll be face down for most of the time.
Museum Card: The museum is where the players can get some of their sanity back. You can interact with it to spend some of your insanity cards for various effects.
Move: In addition to all the things you could do using action cards, you can also discard one to move to an adjacent transformer.

Young, creative, very intelligent and with a lot of cool ideas. We are working with Manuel since Spiel2015 and we are enjoying this time. Our cooperation goes beyond this game, and we’re planning the next projects (different games) together, so this alone shows how we appreciate this cooperation and Manuel’s way of thinking, working and our relationship. Besides that, he is as crazy as we are ;)
Board&Dice Publishing, or as we like to call ourselves the BaD Team, is mostly just three geeks fully dedicated to games, we publish only what we love.
Board games are not only an idea for business to us, they are mainly a passion, that enables us to develop personally and explore our limitations in several areas at the same time. Since we are a small publishing venture we have the privilege to publish only the games that we find interesting and that drive our inner geeks.
To put it short—we can publish games that fascinate us. Just like it was with the Beer Empire or Dice Brewing which reflected our love for brewing, it’s also the case with Exoplanets which reflected our huge interest in the cosmos, the typical area of “science” or mechanisms governing the universe. And of course Multiuniversum was just as cool and we loved the mechanics and had crazy idea for a theme.
You should also know that it isn’t our first Crowdfunding campaign. We have carried out a successful campaign for Exoplanets on Kickstarter, but also an international campaign for The Curse of The Black Dice game held on a Polish crowdfunding portal. We’ve got experience in carrying out international projects, so we can assure you, that the games will reach your hands without delays.
We are fully invested in every title we publish, not only in terms of promotion or production, but we also support authors in the optimization and perfection of their ideas.
The staff Board&Dice consists of three positively crazed individuals. BaD crew core is:
We’re three geeks from Poland with heads full of ideas for compelling and out of the ordinary games. Joins us in this project!
In our team you can also find two great guys, who are doing for us all those beautiful arts and layouts.
Risks and challenges
As Board&Dice we have experience in international sales and delivery of games to Europe, North America and Asian countries (distribution of the Dice Brewing, Exoplanets, Multiuniversum – base game). So we can assure you that after the period indicated in the campaign your backed games will be delivered into your hands. Some of the components are already in our warehouses, some have been quoted and the suppliers have undertaken obligations with regard to delivery dates, so all deadlines presented in the campaign are real and compliant with our and our partnersʼ abilities.
Multiuniversum Project Cthulhu is almost finished in gameplay and graphical design. It is also in testing process here in Poland and with the authors test groups in Germany.
The Main game (Multiuniversum) is already printed and available in Polish and Europian stores. It was reviewed very favorably by demaiding and experienced bloggers and testers. Thatʼs why we believe that Multiuniversum and Project Cthulhu are finished in every tiny detail and the only thing left is the production (only for Project Cthulhu) and delivery of purchased items.
In order to guarantee the highest quality, we decided that the game will be printed by one of our most important partners which has been operating on the international market for a long time and guarantees the proper engagement and support for us (They work with Portal Games as well!).
Additionally, weʼve already executed a plan of logistics for deliveries and have acquired a International Partner, who allows us to deliver packages worldwide. On the other hand, Europe is the area in which weʼre successfully executing deliveries of games to our partners, shops or directly to players buying items from our online shop on a daily basis.
This long description is our way to tell you that the campaign and game itself is well prepared and weʼve already spent several long months working on it. Project Cthulhu was in our plans since last year.
