Hi! I have not received mine as of today. When do you think I will get them?
I gott the cards in norway where i live, and i love the cards on first sight and touch;)
Thank you Phil for stating that! Everyone who backed me on this project is the best!
Got my decks today. First thought: elegant. I love the white. So Apple, so future tech, so clean. I can't wait to play with them and show them off. Great work. Thanks.
Thank you so much ^_^"
I haven't received mine yet
Natthi, don't worry I will replace those for you : )
Hi , I got them today with IMPACT. ( T_T )
THAILAND POST , Do it.
Got mine today. Great job on the cards!
Rrrrrrrrreally looking forward to this.
Once actual printing begins surveys will go out. Should be another two weeks they told me : D
When are the surveys gonna take place? Or did I miss them?
Sure! I just got this response back from uspcc: "Hi Sean,
Your files came in fine and I don’t see any problems with the artwork. I'm going to go over the artwork with prepress and I will let you know if I have any questions shortly. Thank you!!"
So when its time to give out the survey one of the wuestions will be: Would you like a deck signed? Simply select yes or no. This way everyone will get a chance for a signed deck
Hi Sean, will you please sign one of my decks for me?
sucks it didn't hit the mark for metallic ink. Oh well. Maybe on a future deck.
You've done it - well done!
Congrats Sean, a signed deck would be awesome!
Hey Sean will you sign one of the decks for me?
How many people would jump at the chance to purchase a set of printing plates? At what cost?
10 days to go! Please share this on your facebook page and let everyone know! So close to goal theres no way I'm giving up now!! : D
@Mike: I posted on various forums to try and promote this deck but not steampunk. I'll have to look into that thanks for the advice : D
@Sean - have you tried to reach out to steampunk related websites and blogs? I tried posting the link to this kickstarter on the facebook page of the GirlGenius webcomic, and also sent it out to lots of friends, but as the artist, you might do better than just a fan.
@Krystal - if it's still a problem send me a message on here - I'll save the .jpeg files and email them to you (note, I am not in any way, shape, or form affiliated with Sean other than being a backer for this project who is *really* hoping it meets its goal so I can get packs of these cards for an event I'm involved with later this year!)
Hey everyone! 15 more days : D I'm so excited to see where this project goes! I appreciate everyone's feedback in regards to the designs to lets make it happen!
Thanks David for your advance but again i know what I'm doing and for those using IE again...upgrade. David please do not keep posting about this or I will report you as spam. Lets move on from this topic...
Go to the Project Home tab, right click the page and do a View Source. Go to line 305. This is not easy to read because it's all on one line, so you may want to turn on the Wrap Long Lines mode in the View menu. If you look at the src= and data-href= sections, you will notice that some of the URLs end in ".jpg" and some end in ".jpg/". The ones that end in ".jpg/" are incorrect. These URLs are supposed to be referencing files, not directories, on the server. The ones that end in ".jpg" display correctly, but the ones that end in ".jpg/" only display correctly on browsers that fix syntax errors like this. If you don't think I'm right, just make the change and see how it looks in IE.
I don't understand. The src attributes are clearly broken. Why can't you fix them? Just because Firefox and Chrome overcome your inability to program correct HTML doesn't mean you shouldn't fix the problem.
The images that you see is exactly what your supposed to see. I will not go back and fix those "broken links" you see in IE. This project is about the designs not about web development. As a side note: I am a computer technician by day so those of you still using IE, I strongly recommend upgrading to a different browser such as Firefox and Chrome. IE has so many problems even with the latest versions coming out. Once you switch to a different browser you will see a huge performance different on your machines. Now lets get back to funding this project. Thank yopu everyone so much for pledging. Please spread this project to your friends and lets make it reach its goal!!
No, Sean needs to fix it. I emailed him directly about this. I assume he's just been too busy to deal with it, since I know he's logged in to KS every day.
wait..since it's the src page..can i fix anything to make it work?
yup IE. If i copy/paste the link without the extra / after .jpg will it work then?
thanks for the help guys
I love these designs - I'm sending the link to friends of mine who are steampunk enthusiasts, as this seems something right up their alley. The goal is closing in, so if other backers start spreading the word too, this could happen!
Again, love your designs Sean! Looking forward to hopefully having these cards in hand sometime!
Aha! The reason for the broken links is that some of your src attributes have URLs that end with ".jpg/" when they should end with ".jpg". Firefox does extra work to deal with programming errors like this, closing tags and filtering attributes. In this case, IE makes the request and just accepts the failure, while Firefox tries to fix your error and tries again.
@Krystal, what page are you looking at that has problems?
@Krystal: What internet browser are you using? I created the page under firefox. I've only seen those marks using IE
Am I the only one who can't see some of the images? Some show up and some don't. When I click the links I only get a little red x. =[ Maybe i'm not up to date on my software.
@Paul: Not all the designs have been revealed. I keep this page updated with new designs which can be viewed under the Updates tab up above.
Sean: Apologies if I've missed the obvious but is there somewhere that you've posted pictures of all the card designs - at least the released face cards and 2-10?
@Daniel: No problem!
Could you sign one of my decks? :)
@Nhan - I did that.
@Nathan, couldn't you just pick the $25 reward?
@James and Stian: Of course I will sign them for you!
@Nathan: Since you have already pledged and we talk on forums I will make that acception. Anyone else who would like 3 decks please pledge under the $9 reward. if demanded I will later make a reward for 3 decks.
Hi Sean. I pledged for 16$ reward and two decks. I want three. 16/2 is 8. 16+8 = 24. Can I just pledge 24$ and get 3?
I would like my decks signed too please.
New court card will be uploaded later today : D
Any updates coming soon?
