First of all, thank you for taking the time to take a look at my project.
My name is Jared DeSimio. I am father to Olive, husband to Hannah and an artist who believes in the value of craft and celebrating the heritage of reclaimed materials. In my small studio, I design and create one-of-a-kind bags, baseball caps, belts and other accessories using a diverse combination of new and found materials.
With your support, I can invest in additional equipment and tooling to increase both the quality and efficiency of my work.
I am passionate about making products that people connect with.
Please peruse my rewards. Everything is handmade by me at my studio in the historic Fort Andross Mill in Brunswick, Maine. See if there is something that really speaks to you. Or, tell a friend or share this project on your favorite social media outlet.

Risks and challenges
Sourcing materials remains the biggest challenge. Given the nature of my goods, it takes a lot of work to find the appropriate fabric and hardware. Luckily, this is the most inspiring part of the process for me which means, despite the difficulties I may face, I'm probably going to come up with new ideas for things to offer in the future!
I'm also a husband and father of a three year old girl and I take these roles very seriously. Having a good balance in my life is extremely important. Good time management will be challenging but I am up for the task. Luckily, my "regular job" affords me the summers off which means I will have much more flexibility in my schedule.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
