We all love taking panorama picture or time lapse video with our smartphone. Whether it's capturing a magnificent sunrise and sunset or taking group photos of family and friends, our smartphones are used to capture every aspect of our lives.
How many of you been have been frustrated taking panoramic pictures or time lapse video? The truth is, taking panorama pictures or time laps video can be a difficult and frustrating task. Most of the time our hands are just too shaky and slow resulting in unbalanced photos and choppy videos.
Here is the story from Paul and how everything started:
"I had vacation trip to China during the summer of 2012. I was very excited about my trip because it was my first time going there. I had always wanted to go to the place of my family's origin. I was most looking forward to seeing the beautiful skyline of Shanghai and Hong Kong, two cities which were very close to New York in terms of size, scope, and prominence. At every opportunity I was pulling out my phone taking as many panoramic shots as I could, hoping to capture China's beautiful rural landscape and the energy of Hong Kong night life.
I must have taken hundreds of panoramic pictures during my two week stay in China. After returning from my trip I began compiling all my photos into a digital album. What started out as an exciting, fun project soon became a frustrating endeavor. My heart sank when I saw that almost all of the shots I took were crooked and unbalanced. Buildings did not line up, skylines were crooked, people bulged out or looked too fat or too skinny. In short, my panoramic photos of my China trip looked horrible and I had no way I re-taking them unless I planned another trip."
I immediately began searching online for rotating gadgets that could attach to a smartphone and ensure better quality shots. There were a few that rotated but they were not user friendly. None of them were controlled to take a perfect Panorama."
Paul and the team at RadiantMoto studio accepted the challenge of coming up with a fun, easy solution to getting flawless panoramic photos and time lapse videos. After months of research and development they are proud to introduce the PanoPal: a highly portable, motion control device for your smartphone. PanoPal began development in February 2013. The team of designers and engineers at RadiantMoto challenged each other with creating a motion control device that could provide the necessary stability that smartphone users needed while also being sleek and modern. After multiple re-designs and months of development, a design was finalized eventually leading the way to an initial prototype and now a fully functional sample.
In just a short amount of time the designers and engineers at Radiantmodo were able to turn a concept into a reality and in the process, provide a fun solution to getting high quality panorama and time lapse video with your smartphone.

How it works
-Place the PanoPal on any flat surface
-Simply remove your iPhone, Galaxy S4 or smartphone from its case and insert your phone into the PanoPal to lock it into place.
-Turn on any panorama or video app on your phone. Press the capture button on your phone to begin shooting.
-Once your phone is locked in, press the on/off button on the remote control to make PanoPal rotate
-Choose from 4 preset speeds by pressing the plus or minus buttons on the remote.
-Use the directional buttons to rotate PanoPal clockwise or counter clockwise at any time.
-Stop the PanoPal when you've finished shooting
As a follow up to our regular PanoPal we'd also like to introduce PanoPal Pro w/ Blue Tooth functionality. The Bluetooth remote has all the features as the RF remote that comes with the standard Panopal plus a great deal more. Now with the blue tooth remote, not only can you make the PanoPal spin, you can also snap photos and shoot videos directly with the remote. Users will also be able to control music settings i.e. volume, track selection, directly with the Bluetooth remote.

We are very proud to introduce to you the Aluminum edition of the PanoPal! only available at Kickstarter. We listened to our backers's advice and we spent 1 weeks at making the aluminum version of Panopal. We worked day & night to try to make the aluminum housing as perfect as possible and we are extremely satisfied the result. The Aluminum PanoPal is truly a piece of art.
Both PanoPal and PanoPal Pro are now available in aluminum, making it more durable and substantial. The Aluminum version is slightly heavier than our standard version and more resistant to corrosion, making it perfect for outdoor use. Both Aluminum edition will come with a digital camera mount that allows any compact digital camera to work perfectly with PanoPal for Panorama shot!
Meet our team
RadiantModo is a small design studio in NYC. Our team is made up of industrial designers and engineers with backgrounds ranging from tech to toys. Our goal is to create unique products that will change the way of we use technology. In the end, we want to come up with solutions to life's everyday problems through products that are fun and easy to use.
Radiantmodo was formed by Paul Ng and Jun C, two classmates who graduated from the Toy Design program at NYC's Fashion Institute of Technology. Along with Paul and Jun, are also a graphic designer and a product engineer. After several years working for different companies as product designers, Paul and Jun decided to create their own studio to focus heavily on tech gadgets. Together, under the Radianmodo banner, they now have the freedom to concept and develop products that they would use themselves. Each member of Radiantmodo brings with them comprehensive knowledge of the product development cycle and various manufacturing processes.
After graduating from the toy design program at F.I.T, Paul went on to work at Mega Brands Inc, in Montreal, Canada, a toy company that specializes in building block toys. At Megabloks, he worked in the advanced design department where he conceptualized and prototyped different boys toy lines ranging from Marvel comics playsets to Neo-shifters, a line of transforming robots which competed with Lego's Bionicles at the time. After Mega Brands, Paul worked for a year at Battat, Inc. where he designed classic, wooden roleplay toys. In 2007, Paul moved back to NYC and worked for a children's product company until last year before forming Radiantmodo Studio.
After graduating from the toy design program at F.I.T, Jun was hired by Motorola's accessory division in NYC to design and develop custom accessories for all Motorola's mobile devices. Within a few years working at Motorola, Jun was opened to the world of product development and manufacturing. He was in charge of conceptualizing, designing, and putting together tech packs to send overseas for sampling. Since 2008, Jun has been working for another famous accessory brand company where he manages an in-house design team that design & develop accessories for Apple's portable products.
