Kickstarter is an ALL OR NOTHING proposition. That means we NEED to meet our goal of $12,000 by our deadline of July 24th. If we raise even a dollar short of our goal, we lose it all. EVERYTHING WILL BE REFUNDED and no rewards can be given! PLEASE help us prevent this from happening!
More about Kickstarter fund raising:
Kickstarter is a tool for anyone in the creative world to gather the help and support needed for their projects. Kickstarter’s platform allows filmmakers like us to share our project with the unlimited Internet community. We create a profile, set a fundraising goal and a time frame to meet it, and offer the rewards/incentives. We've lined up some great gifts for you. Check them out on the right! -->
(Watch the trailer above!)
Every July 4th for the past 50 years our small hometown in Pennsylvania has held an annual turtle race – a fun event that sounds like something from a Mark Twain story. But this year the state outlawed collecting turtles from the wild because they’re becoming endangered. It’s a fun and funny opportunity to see what happens when tradition and environmental issues collide.
Shown from the uniquely insightful, candid and often hilarious perspective of children, Turtle Derby gives voice to the turtle - a slow, silent, unassuming symbol of wisdom - and reveals that both children and turtles have a lot to teach us.
You will make this film happen! Please join us to help share this hilarious, touching and timely story.
