Hello Kickstarter! Thank you for visiting to my new project! I'm Kei Izumi, a photographer based on Osaka, Japan! I love shooting photos of magicians and I am proud to be a professional close-up magician!
I have been using ordinary Bicycle brand decks of cards (called Rider Back), but I'm a person who gets tired of things very fast. I soon discovered that the simpler the design of the cards, the longer I would use them.
So I had decided to make the deck of cards by myself. I started designing playing cards that I really want to use.
Today I will introduce the playing cards called Play Fair.
Many award-winning card magicians love Play Fair and its concept. I bet you love this too.
Play Fair comes with a design that cardsharks love and, just like magicians, will use it for a long time. For that reason the back design is in very simple.
Beautifully solid color like NOC; nicely sophisticated design like Wynn and Ace Fulton's. You might feel it looks too simple, but the plain design makes the cards perfect for both formal and informal types of shows.
The face design are similar to the American Standard designs for such brands as Bicycle deck.
Ace of Spades:
As you know, the ace of spades is the icon of its deck of cards. Still simple, and elegant. I put the name kei izumi photography in green so that you will imagine a Casino table.
The truth is that real close-up workers don't need an extra joker. I totally agree with that. I decided to make two jokers in the same design.
I don't put the sticker on the flap because it's a waste of time to get off and sometimes it looks ugly if you break up the sticker badly.
The back of case is the same design as the playing card, so it can be useful for your magic.
I will proudly announce that this is one of the nicest deck cases I have ever seen! A friend of mine, and one of the finest wood craftsman in Taiwan named YAO will make the special deck case for this project!
Gorgeous and well-sophisticated handmade wood case for deck! There's two color variations: Smoke Wood and Old House:
You can get ONE Play Fair deck for free.
Play Fair Uncut Sheet:
This is an uncut sheet of Play Fair playing cards! Also you can get ONE Play Fair deck for free.
For International Backers: You don't need the pricey shipping fee! You might be surprised because all pledges are a little bit higher than other playing cards projects launched from US. Play Fair is printed and shipped from Taiwan, so I have to set the International Shipping Fee to all the pledges.
However, everything in Taiwan is relatively inexpensive, so that eventually I can cut some costs. The international shipping fee is always the bottleneck for backers outside of US. I put the international shipping fee to all pledges which is why the pledges are relatively high.
Even if the package gets lost, don't worry all shipping contains the individual tracking code so that we can follow the package anywhere in the world.
You can see how actually the deck is in reasonable price, and how I am serious on this project!
For U.S. Backers: I have to get the shipping fee from you. But be sure the more you buy the deck the more you can cut the shipping fee!
You want more decks and two wood deckcases for your friends? Please add your total to your pledge, and then send me a message! Very easy.
Case 1: A U.S. Backer wants 4 more decks. Just add $45 to your current pledge. The shipping fee is included, so just add the price from the list below.
Case 2: An International Backer wants a brick and 2 Woodcases for one color. Add $160 and tell me which color do you want. Of course the worldwide shipping fee is included as always.
AWESOME JAPAN Inc. introduces awesome Japanese products, services and creative ideas to people around the world.
I can't make this project without the huge supports from not only the backers but also my dear friends!

Risks and challenges
At first the project successfully funded on Kickstarter, and then produced and shipped to your address.
Play Fair is printed by the fine printing company in Taiwan, and the artwork is already approved. There is almost nothing to happen but if something happens I would like to announce and keep updating the status as clear as possible. We are committed to delivering a great product on time that you enjoy. Your happiness is our business!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
