“PALEON” board game of Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Creatures
This project aims to produce an English version of “PALEON”, a PvP tactics game using realistic dinosaur cards.
My Earth Projects LLC. is a Japanese company that creates board games. Our dream is to have people around the world enjoy PALEON and our other games, while developing an understanding about environmental issues and prehistoric creatures.
For the past six years, we have been producing board games related to real world topics, designed to arouse intellectual curiosity. In the future, we aim to expand to various fields, including global themes like environmental issues, programming, finance, language, history, geography and science.
We are also planning to work on mobile apps and video game versions of our games.
Players compete against each other by collecting creatures with from 40 unique dinosaur cards. Each game requires 2-4 players and lasts 15 to 30 minutes. Suitable for ages 7+, PALEON is a simple game that can be enjoyed by adults as well as children. Those who play card games may find it comparable to Black Jack or Poker.
- Stunning illustrations using full 3D Computer Graphics
The striking graphics are created by Aiichi Kato, who has produced realistic illustrations as an exclusive illustrator for Science Magazine Newton for almost a decade.
All illustrations of dinosaurs are produced one by one using full 3D computer graphic models. Only a single perfect shot has been selected out of a full 360° view of the 3D model.
- Simple, yet challenging rules
Although the rules are simple enough for kids to understand, they are just as engaging for adults, demanding strategies and tricks similar to playing poker.
- Quality content backed up by passionate production team
After the funding period in September, translations will be completed in October, and printing in November. We will begin shipping in December. Items are expected to be delivered by end of January.

Risks and challenges
・Delay in production
There is a sufficient number of team members for producing English texts of the card. However, there may be a delay in the general production process including translation and designing illustration, and supervising of these.
・Delay in shipping
After completion of the project, there may be unexpected delays in shipping caused by the transporters, but we will try to handle each case as soon as possible.
