Last year I launched the Kickstarter for Epic Misadventures of Deathbag #1. The book was released in Feb. 2017 and was received well. I did a few cons and visited a few shops and it was a success. During this time I begun to write the second installment of series. I wrote two stories "Deathbag Goes To The Market" and "The Rise of Steve".
"Deathbag Goes To The Market" is just that DB goes to the super market and you get to witness the epic misadventure that is.
"The Rise of Steve" there was a time when DB wasn't employee of the month. This is a three part story telling that epic misadventure.
I am also happy to announce that Adam Faster (Humalien and Lush) will return as the cover artist for issue 2.
In addition to Deathbag #2, Ben Miller (writer of Judges, Botched, and NerdLife) and I will be returning for the second installment of NerdLife. This will be a double comic. NerdLife was featured in the Lab Creative's Lush (Feb. 2017). It follows nerdy kids growing up in the hood, fighting stereotypes, playing D and D, and heading out to con in cosplay.
The second installment will showcase the nerdy crew as they discuss pro wrestling. It takes place when a veteran wrestler finally gets his chance at the world championship of the world. Just like Deathbag, NerdLife #2 has been fully written and thumbnails have been completed, mapping out the second issue.
So why kickstarter again? Well all funding from this kickstarter will fund the printing costs and rewards for the project. Issue 2 will be a 24 page Epic Misadventure. The rewards, well the rewards are simple. You can pick from digital or physical copies of issues 1 and 2, there will be an exclusive print with either reward, and there's the shoes. You read it right shoes. You can get a pair of Deathbag Vans slips on shipped to you (limited reward).
Risks and challenges
Kickstarter gives me a chance to publish and expose The Epic Misadventures of Deathbag to a larger audience! Consider this your investment of a project that will be completed one way or another. Your support here on Kickstarter guarantees that Deathbag gets completed.
There are really no risks for this project. I have already completed the writing part of the book. Obviously, illness or something happening to a family member may cause a delay in the project's completion.
The dollar amount needed is to cover book printing, rewards, and shipping.
Any additional support such as social media sites is greatly appreciated to get the project funded and in your hands.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
