About this project
Scholars is a short comedy/drama film. It tells the story of twelve year old Peter during a particularly difficult week at school.
Peter is pretty cynical for his age. He's smart too, and although he questions everything in life, he is very much a kid at heart.
Peter has begun his first year at Combedown Secondary School‐ but things are not off to a good start. His mother has recently passed away leaving him with an unstable father along with an unsigned sex education permission form.
Seemingly coping with the death of his mother without difficulty, Peter is hung‐up on being excluded from sex‐ed classes and ultimately, falling behind his peers.
Well, firstly, short films are a great thing to be apart of! We'll keep you updated on the production and you can watch it go on its journey from paper to screen.
Also, we have loads of goodies to give away depending on how much you donate. These include film credits, DVD's and even a chance to be in the movie.
We have a great script which we really want to share with the world, but to do this we need your help.
We have already raised more than half of the funding we need with various fundraising events as well as putting our own money in.
Any sum, even a quid, will go someway to making Scholars a reality.
If you are able to donate then thank you! If not, no worries, you can help us out by simply spreading the word!
Working together on many past projects, we know we make a great team. Below is a short documentary we produced last year in a similar environment to Scholars.

Risks and challenges
The shoot is scheduled for the end of February 2014. This doesn't leave us long. Working with kids can be one of the hardest challenges in film making and we have classrooms full!
We're signing off locations at the moment and have a half complete adult cast. We plan to shot the film on a RED so we can get the best looking visuals at a reasonable price. We are a positive, hard working team who are really excited to make this film happen, with your help and support we know we can make it great. Once the film is complete we hope to send it around the world to festivals for all to see. Make it happen and have your name on it by donating 'much money'. Join the team. Thank you!
