Yup, almost two years since the last update. We at least deserve an explanation.
Antone realize this guy ran away with our money? I don't know about most of you, but I saw some highly funding backers on this project... shouldn't we fight for some accountability here?
Status report? Indefinitely shelved? Scrapped?
You know, looking back, this was the very first Kickstarter project I ever backed. We're a month shy of the 6 year mark at this point, so obviously I'm not holding my breath. But it would be truly delightful if it did show up on my doorstep some fine day.
Would probably prefer the footage made and shot for this to just get released in unfinished form to see some of the interviews atleast.
More updates... I want to see this end product man
Hey Nathan (: How's the movie coming along?
Four year mark. What's the word on this?
yeah! an update!
Glad you are still chipping away at this. Can't wait to see it.
Per your update, some thoughts on "cuts". Two hours does seem like a reasonable limit for a documentary (or really any feature length movie), unless you are Ken Burns. Beyond that you get the "it was good, but it could have been about x minutes shorter". I guess beyond that I wonder if you may have gone overboard in terms of the content you captured. I was under the impression that this project primarily focused on Newgrounds, with some supporting/related material, but the project sounds a bit tangential now. Maybe you have enough footage/topics for two movies, or one movie and some sort of featurette. I don't know, it's your creative vision, but going on two years (an eternity in internet time) I would think it might make sense to get a movie out the door sooner rather than later while things are as relevant as possible. You can always release footage after the fact and make it a "living" work.

Hurry up before Newgrounds is shut down
It's been 1 year, 5 months, and 15 days since the project was funded. In the project home section it was indicated that you already had all your footage and that you were entering the editing/production phase. Given that your footage is a year and a half old, will it still be relevant?
Also, 232 backers gave you $15,151 and in the past 12 months you've given us 3 updates. Are the lack of updates indicative of a lack of progress?
Honestly, I would be very had pressed to back any of your future projects.
Hey, so it's been four months since the last update. How are things coming along?
Again, its been 4 months. Is everything going alright?
Hate to nag, but when are you going to do another update? Its been nearly 4 months!
Cant wait till this is finished!
Congratulations on the success of the project, can't wait for the end result. I was wondering when the confirmation emails for the backers was going to come out, the last update was Sep. 5 or so, and I haven't checked my email in quite a while, hope I didn't miss anything.
Um, thanks... mom.
updates are terrific...tks. looking forward to watching this exciting journey
all The Best are with you
Well, I did make a promise, of sorts. Of course, I didn't receive any confirmation of funny bits about snarky reviewers on Newgrounds, so it was a normal gesture. In any case, I can't wait to see the end result of this mayhem.
This comment has been removed by Kickstarter.
I know I'm not the one making the film so I probably shouldn't even be saying this, but my only gripe about the trailer is the music, which sometimes competes with the interviews. Again, not my movie, but just something I took note of.
If I donate $20, can I STILL get my name in the Credits?
Good luck! Can't wait to see the film.
Hooray! We made it!
You did it... everyone here did it!
just wanted to congrats everyone
I was not expecting a THIRD big spender here. Congratulations Nathan. I can't wait for my special DVD when this thing comes out.
Congratulations Nathan! Was there ever any doubt? Not from me!
Sorry. It's actually $3,000.
Someone pledged $2,000? Either that or it's a mistake. If it's for real, awesome!
this is soooooo close! good luck!
Bump'd. (The $5 I earned plus the cost of the shirt you gave me.) Happy to help.
Pleased to bump up my pledge today - things sound like they're going well...
GREAT IDEA! Congrats.
If I gave you a dollar for every time New Grounds showed me something freakin' amazing, I'd owe you a lot more than I could donate. Still, I make this measly offering as a token of my adoration. I'm so excited to see this film!
Aight, I just put in my two bits, things are looking really close,!
Just donated some money! Since I was lucky enough to get the animation I'm currently working on sponsored by Newgrounds, I figured I could use some of that money to back this project! Can't wait to see this finished!
I have grown up with Newgrounds. It wouldn't feel right if I didn't help out a little.
Just jacked my pledge up to $50. Why not? UK exchange rate is a beauty for this kinda thing.
I wonder how you're going to dish out the DVDs.
This will definitely make it and I am glad to contribute!
To whoever pledged $2500, if I ever meet you I will buy you numerous drinks of your choice.
I updated my pledge to include all the money I raised by walking around Comic-Con with the shirt that read, "Squeeze my ManBoob for $1 and support independent film." (An additional $46.24)
It's too good to be true!
Whoo! Just hit the halfway mark, congratulations!
From the FAQ:
"I'm a non-US Amazon account holder and I can't make a pledge, what's up with that?"
If you are a non-US Amazon Mechanical Turk user you may experience a problem trying to pledge. You'll need to create a new Amazon Payments account during check-out. Sorry this is annoying. We've alerted Amazon about this bug.
I have a problem supporting, as the amazon payment system insists on listing my country as United States.
