Container - New Ships Arrive! (April Update)
Thanks to everyone for their understanding and patience while we took on the unexpected challenge of the ships for Container being so very wrong.
As most of you know, we were certain that Container was ready for shipping several weeks ago, only to find that the materials in the ships' construction had been quietly switched without our knowledge or approval, and in fact, after we had approved full resin samples. Thankfully during our own quality control checks we noticed what had happened and ordered the entire batch removed from our product.
Late yesterday we received the updated/corrected ships for Container, and so we wanted to share the first images with you as soon as possible.
These ship samples are greatly improved, thanks in no small part to the proper resin material being used. In addition, since all the ships had to go back to be produced again, at the printer's invitation we took the opportunity to further enhance the design with subtle strength and durability upgrades.
Let's take a look at some photos we took at our office this morning.
Now that the ships are made from the material we specified and are up to Mercury Games' standards, we have asked the factory to move ahead with the production.
We are awaiting our final estimates on production time, and once we receive them we will add in our logistics time and then determine if the timeline will need to be adjusted. At this moment, however, no such adjustment is necessary.
We want to thank everyone, once again, for their patience and support for this project. If you've backed a Mercury Games project before you know our dedication to getting it right.
