Le Village is set in a small French Canadian village. It's about people searching for a little more out of life and how this search inadvertently, because of the size of the town, culminates into a dramatic event that changes the course of the whole town.
The film is written and directed by Marcel Simoneau. Chris Carroll agreed to come help him produce and assist him in directing. The story will come to life with the cinematography of Jordan T. Parrott and the help of his friends Andrea Romansky, Seth Coleman & CJ Baker. Our Canadian crew consists of Guillaume Lévesque, Juliette Gagnon Lachapelle et Cinthya Bérubé, Catherine Paradis, David Lepage, Éric Gagné, Marie-Josée Bélanger, Geneviève Pelletier and Thomas Simoneau (my brother). Ulysses Guidotti just joined as Editor.
On the acting front, we have a great cast: Montreal actresses Maxime Morin and Marie-Josée Bélanger. Author Thierry Leuzy. Local actors William Lapierre, Santiago Mareque, Alexandre Fortin, Alex Thériault, Jeanne Simoneau (my sister), Alexandre Gilbert, Steven Lee Potvin, Daniel Ross, Jade Ross, Pascal Rioux and Antoine Michaud Lévesque.
A special thank you to my father Pierre Simoneau and his wife Nathalie for giving up their homes :)
