ABOUT THE CREATORS
16 and some odd years ago, a scared, lost, mousy 6th grader finally found her cooking class and sat down in the first chair she saw. Red from embarrassment she looked up to find a friendly face and an equally mousy girl staring back at her who squeaked, “Hi, I’m Brittany.” And with that, their fate as best friends was sealed.
Since our first ‘date’ roasting hot dogs while sleeping out on lawn chairs and watching 'The Fast and the Furious' on a portable DVD player, our friendship has been full of more laughter than you can imagine. Some of our best nights have been spent solo laughing at each other, because we are just that hilarious.
Whatever was created after we graduated from college and realized there weren’t enough good party games. In order to keep ourselves occupied we began writing dares that you would have to pick out of a hat if you guessed wrong playing “higher or lower.” Over the years the dares got more outrageous and good times we had with our friends kept getting better. You knew if we were having a 'Whatever' night, shit was going down and you would have no idea where the night would take you.
We have some pretty freakin' weird stories. Past adventures have inspired cards …from scaling friends to road trips to eating way too many crackers in one sitting, there’s a story behind almost every card in the game.
After years of playing Whatever with our friends, we were encouraged by Britt’s mom to actually create the game into something real. And so we did, and we think it’s pretty awesome.
Risks and challenges
There are always challenges with any new project - especially since we are interdependent and this is our first time bringing a game to market. However, we have spent a significant amount of time researching and talking to many different companies that have experience with this process to ensure that we have accounted for the potential issues.
Issues we may run into, being our first time, may include shipping issues that delay the anticipated delivery date, or a general lack of audience given that our game is for people ages 17+. However, we are confident that we have worked through all potential pitfalls and have various options when it comes time to solving potential future issues.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
