We're building the world's best online coding school, with clear explanations, plenty of animations, always up-to-date content, and learning through doing. Go from ZERO to HERO!
There are 2 million apps on the App Store, that's why we believe it's important to also equip you with design skills to make your app stand out, as well as growth-hacking techniques to get your app noticed. So you can truly take that million-dollar app idea and turn it into a real business.
Do you have an awesome app idea but not know where to start? Have you ever tried to learn to code, only to get frustrated and give up? Did you get confused by the endless programming jargon or put off by outdated tutorials?
We're making this online coding course for you!
Through our in-person classes we know that we can teach core programming concepts faster by making it relevant and getting students to build cool apps, like Snapchat and Whatsapp. ($1billion acquisition not included).
We're the only online programming school that has physical and electronic course books. These books will contain step-by-step instructions on how to build and code up the tutorial apps and allows you to progress much faster at your own pace. All the code, all the instructions are contained in these playbooks. Combined with the explanations in the videos, you'll be a coding ninja in no time!
We've had the opportunity to teach some of the most awesome students from some of the most awesome companies at our London classroom.
We've delivered programming education to some of the most amazing companies and organisations.
Being a great app developer is more than just about learning how to program. That's why we'll also teach you how to design your app to make it look beautiful as well as how to market your app to get more downloads.
The course consists of tutorial videos, coding challenges and in-depth explanations. You'll be making over 10 popular apps from the App Store as we show you step-by-step how to build them. We'll be taking the time to explain the code that you're writing. This way you'll be all set to fly solo when it comes to the coding challenges and making your own apps.
We use clear explanations and plenty of animations in the video tutorials so even if you're not a technical person, you'll still be able to fully understand all the coding concepts.
Our Kickstarter backers will get lifetime access to their purchased course on our online platform. After the Kickstarter ends, it will be priced at £25 ($35) per month, per course, on a yearly subscription basis (£300).

We know that a lot of you will be taking the course for professional development. Maybe you're looking at a new role or a change of company. If you get the course through this Kickstarter, we'll put you on the certification track without you needing to pay a cent more.
Here you'll be able to submit your coding challenges and we'll mark your code. If you pass all the coding challenges (there's a total of 5), then we'll issue you a L.A.B. LinkedIn certificate that shows the curriculum you've been trained on and that you have achieved a foundation level in iOS (Swift) or Android (Java) programming.
We're setting up a secret Slack community for all the L.A.B. students. Here we'll discuss everything and anything app related. Our past students have come from diverse backgrounds such as design, business development, web development, product management, medicine, law, finance and more, so there'll be plenty of collaboration opportunities and maybe you'll even find your co-founder!
Recently we had Rikke, a UI/UX designer working at Ustwo, the studio that made Monument Valley come and talk to our students about UX design. In two weeks, we've got the Head of Platform Partnerships at Twitter teach our students about app analytics using Fabric.
You won't be left out of this! If you're in London then we'll reserve seats for you at all our events and if you're online then we'll give you access to the live streams or recordings as well. You education doesn't stop at programming.
Xcode 8 (Swift 3) is due to come out of beta mid-September and we traditionally don't like to teach using beta software (you don't want a situation where you don't know if the bug was caused by you or by Apple). So we'll be working on creating and perfecting the course during August and aiming for course delivery at the end of September. We will give our Kickstarter backers beta access to some of the videos tutorials/coding challenges as we are creating them in August so you can have a chance to give feedback and guide the creation process ahead of the official start date.
Risques et défis
As with all online courses, there may be cases when we are sick or have hardware issues that could lead to delays. But rest assured that we have been running the course at our in-person classroom in London for over a year and half so we're fully prepared for all problems that could occur. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong before, but this has never impacted our students.
