About this project
Woodrow’s is a familiar name in the Houston area. Over the past two decades, the Woodrow’s name flourished with tie-ins to Big Woodrow’s, Woodrow’s & Floyd’s, Floyd’s Cajun Kitchen and Little Woodrow’s. The success has produced over a dozen locations throughout Houston, Dallas and Austin over the years. An enormous number of diverse professionals including sports enthusiast, Cajun food loving casual diners and social groups have enjoyed one or several of these locations at one time or another. Many of those customers have moved away from the trendy Galleria and Midtown areas to establish a life in the suburbs with their spouses and new families.
Cypress is experiencing phenomenal growth. Located just 20 miles NW of Houston, the popularity of the school district, large master planned communities and the relocation of several Fortune 500 companies to area have fueled the expansion. Today, Cypress is considered to be larger than cities like Las Vegas, Cleveland, Miami and Atlanta.
The influx of population is always followed by the entry of new restaurants. The market leaders in the area and their annual sales are Gringos Mexican Grill ($5.4 million), Alicia’s ($5.1 million), Cheddars ($4.7 million), Buffalo Wild Wings ($4.4 million), Salt Grass Steak House ($4.2 million) and Willie’s Grill & Ice House ($3.5 million). Willie’s is closest in style and quality. However, they do not offer a bar seating area or live music. It is also know that popular brands Pappadeaux, Macaroni Grill and Baker’s Street Pub will be opening soon as well.
First, we have identified an unfulfilled market for our exceptional product. Careful research has demonstrated an 85% positive response by a representative sampling of our primary and secondary geographical markets. We have learned that people living in Cypress and within reasonable driving distance, remember or have had a positive experience at Woodrow’s in their past. They enthusiastically will welcome a casual full service establishment built around our quality and atmosphere. Further research of the population demographics of this area reveals a lifestyle most conducive to eating out often, as frequently as four (4) times per week.
The overall Houston area is already know as the restaurant capital of the world. There are more restaurants per capita in Houston than in areas like Los Angeles and New York City. A strong economy and state tax free income help to support this claim. Many thousands of people also work near the Cypress area and often unwind after work at one of the local watering holes.
Woodrow’s intends to be part and parcel of this scene, offering superb Cajun foods such as gumbo, po boys, burgers and wings complemented by frosted pints and buckets of beer. Relaxed patio dining is also planned for use during pleasant weather.
HOW YOUR FUNDS WILL BE USED
We've already secured our lease and hired the builder. We need help with bringing this idea to market. We have an incredible food dining experience waiting to be opened in this growing community. Help our dream become reality.

The building will be designed as an open floor plan. There will be a large bar, indoor and outdoor dining with three (3) large patios. We'll have opportunities for live music on our permanent outdoor stage. The atmosphere will be rustic with an Austin 'weird' theme. We will cater to families, the professional and socialites of all kinds.
THE CURRENT LOCATION
Currently, the property was being used as a Tea Room. Because the building was too small, we decided to build a completely new building. Below is the location of the property and what it currently look like.
THE FINISHED PRODUCT
The completed renovation will look a lot like the pictures you have seen in this presentation. They resemble existing Woodrow products and styles. This particular project will look a lot like Cedar Creek Cafe in the Heights. The facade will have a completely new look with corrugated rustic tin and barn wood. Then interior will have more of a rustic saloon feel. We will utilize the exterior space and trees for outdoor dining, live music and activities.
For the most part, our menu will consist of high quality Cajun and Creole dishes:
·Jambalaya, Gumbo, Etouffee
·Boilded Crawfish, Crabs and Shrimp
·Po boys, Muffaletta and Hamburgers
·Seafood and Chicken Salads
Besides the micros brews, there will be an incredible wine offering.
