Some Fresh and HAPI News About Your Rewards!

Hello HAPIbackers,

The campaign is over and now, thanks to your support, the HAPIfork development is going full blast! Next week, we’ll be sending out a survey to collect information necessary to ship your rewards when they become available!

And as part of the survey, depending on the pledge you have selected, you will need to make hard decisions :))

  • For the HAPIfork, you will get to choose between thecolors blue, pink and green - see below. Luckily, each fork will come with its matching case.
  • For the T-shirt, we will let you choose between the HAPIrevolution design (that comes in our 3 favorite colors - see below) and the HAPIfork design - created by Liquid Agnes, the winner of our contest on! You can check it here.

Get ready for next week's survey and have a HAPI week-end!

      Hello Michelle and David,

Yes we understand the disappointed however, it is a choice the team made for HAPIfork to be assenbled with BLE for its battery benefits (device will have less energy consumption, and we would like lessen risk of the battery running out during your meal). Second, looking forward all
smartphones will be BLE compliant in the future as it is the main standard for Bluetooth communication between smartphones and connected devices. Also there will be higher cost for other "broader bluetooth" which will be less and less used, so it is smarter that we go with Bluetooth 4.0/BLE.
It won't be possible to sync the HAPIfork with a smartphone without Bluetooth 4.0/Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) support. But people will be able to sync their HAPIfork on an computer via USB and then access their data through the mobile app on their smartphones/ (and other
      smartphones using android).

That's in fact an oversight on our part, Suzanne, thanks for pointing it out! :-)

I have a Galaxy S2 as well, and I have assumed that the app will work with that phone because I think I am still getting the latest Android OS updates. I would also be keen to know if the app will work with the S2 - still a great phone and not seeing any reason to upgrade to a later model. :)

The questionnaire did not give an option of having learned about the hapifork on Kickstarter! Silly! I chose friend of hapifork person instead.

I only own a Galaxy s2 and I'm very unhappy that my device won't be supported! Your description says the app works on Android, not on some Android devices. Can I use a laptop, or is there no way for me to use the hapifork's information?
