With over 25 years of experience in the industry, it was time to follow my dreams and start my own cake business. Whisk Cake Creations was born in 2014 and became official in 2015. Since then, we have been working out of shared commercial kitchens. Although it has been fun and exciting working with other companies, with the increased amount of cake production and limited space, we felt that having our own cake studio was the necessary next step in growing the business.
I have been baking cakes since I was 10 years old and to this day, it is still my passion. The smiles and memories that come along with having a cake at any event is timeless and priceless. After graduating from culinary & pastry school, I was fortunate enough to have worked with great people at different bakeries, hotels and establishments. It has given me the foundation to be able to start and grow my cake business.
We currently have a great client base along with different wholesale accounts through caterers and event venues. With the opening of our cake studio, our goal is to continue the growth of our client base while maintaining the high quality product that we currently offer.
Risks and challenges
The construction of the Whisk Cake Creations Studio is in the final stages. We are hoping to be operating in the studio by October, pending the final date of construction as well as the approvals from our final inspections with the City of Alameda and with the County of Alameda. Once we get the approval, we will be able to move all of our equipment into the studio and begin creating our cakes.
