Frequently Asked Questions
Q:I would only like to pledge for the Orcs. Do I have to get an army of Shieldmaidens before I can add an orcish army as an add-on?
A: Not at all! You can absolutely choose an orcish army if that's what you want. The advantage here is that all of them are already in production. You'll get the Orcs you want and the money that you pledge will help fund the Shieldmaidens for them to fight against. We hope it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside knowing that you're getting a great deal on some fantastic models and helping us broaden our range.Last updated:
Q: If I am backing at the $200 level and choose e.g. 2 SM starter armies, would I actually get double the Gold level rewards?
A: Affirmative. If e.g. the project unlocks a free resin miniature or a free plastic box for the pledge levels eligible to Gold level rewards, then a backer via a $200 pledge by choosing two different Armies (as long as they are both eligible to the Gold level, i.e. NOT a Raiding Party) will receive double these rewards.Last updated:
A: Shieldwolf Miniatures aims to release a number of miniatures through Kickstarter that will however penalize our supporters who miss out on the campaign. That said, we do aim for a more special treatment towards those who did support us at the time we asked them to. Therefore, although our Kickstarter exclusives will never be sold at retail, they may be available later as promotional figures at events or other projects.Last updated:
A: Yes, the *only* models that do not include bases are the 150mmx100mm ones. Every single other model comes with the appropriate base. As for the boxes, there will be 20 plastic bases per box included.Last updated:
A: We can't say for sure, but we are 99% confident that will be an option, yes.
PLEASE NOTE: Upgrading however only allows you to receive additional items (e.g. various add-ons). It does NOT give you access to the additional rewards some pledge levels grant.
Example-1: if you have pledged $1 and upgrade to the $100 Starter Army, you are not eligible to any of the free rewards this pledge level unlocked.
Example-2: if you have pledged $50 and upgrade to the $100 Army, you are still eligible for all Silver level rewards but you won't be getting any Gold level rewards
Example-3: if you have pledged $100 for an Army and add another or upgrade to any other (Army), you will be eligible to all Gold level rewards these include.
We are working on a way to allow people who want to upgrade their pledges but are missing out on a couple of weeks. It's probably going to be via PayPal and something like "Till the end of the month of March you all get a grace period to upgrade to your final pledge level". For any questions please send us a message and we'll get right back to you!Last updated:
Only after we have prepared your parcel and it is ready to go; according to our schedule this means late this year. You will be notified by an update but also a personal message will be sent to each and everyone of you.Last updated:
Q: I have pledged for an EB-3 or Campaign Army ($190 or $200). If I add another $50 or $60, can I choose 1 Garrison army + 1 Starter Army?
A: Negative. If you have pledged for a Campaign Army and want to break it down to smaller armies, you can break it down to either
1 Garrison Army + 1 Raiding Party OR
1 Starter Army + 1 Boxed Set OR
2 Boxed Sets OR
2 Starter Armies.
You cannot add to your pledge and still break it to army bundles (unless you specifically pledge e.g. +$100 for a Starter Army). In the example above the only break-down allowed if you added $50 or $60 (depending whether you grabbed an EB-3 or not) you can only add 1 Raiding Party.Last updated:
