Hi all! :-D
Hopefully this summer's final month finds you all in great health and spirit!

Where does the project stand? :-)

In this update we'd like to inform you that we have began casting, quality checks (QC) and packaging everything in our plastic shells. This will help us sort out your rewards faster when everything has been completed and we reach final stage which is mailing the parcels to you :-)
At our HQ we keep on making moulds for the ones drained/used enough to be thrown away, but while our silicone and other stuff (release agents etc) are still in stock, we had faced a period that our special mix of resin reserves had dried out and due to the capital controls we had faced an issue of supply. Not willing to change our resin (you'll see for yourselves the quality of it), we had to dig an alternative way of paying our suppliers. Thankfully the Team has some resourcefull people and we are happy to let you know that we placed the orders and are now expecting them to arrive.
Till that happens, Shieldwolf Team will take a 1-week break (commencing tormorrow till Sunday 16th), after which we will continue our work and keep on answering any questions/comments/suggestions.

The game

"War is Coming", the game we have developed and now in phase of refining with the help of our playtesters is coming along nicely. The volunteers have also given us enough feedbak to work on. By September we will have formed the "Alpha Team" (i.e. the group of people that will remain to work on the "improved/revised" version of the game) and according to schedule we should release it by end of this year.
For free. :-)

Pictures!!!

Anyway, since pictures speak better the words (and we as backers would prefer to see pictures and not simply read stuff on the update) here's a taste of what has been going on at our HQ and what has been stored in our warehouse.

Finally, we wanted to show you today an Orc Battle Wyvern assembled straight from production. Unfortunately we need these first casts to ensure faster mold production, so this will have to wait a couple of weeks before using one to post a picture.
Regardless here's a photo we took for this update

If you notice we have made pins for very easy assembly

I guess that's all for now, hope you liked this update, as stated we'll be out this week (we are currently leaving only one person behind to deal with the orders from our online webstore), but we'll be back in a few days!

Thank you.
The Shieldwolf Team.

Yes, these were the ones, we tried saving it but it was way too much trouble and really not worth it for either parties; for us it would have been a pain, for the backers it would have been frustrating and (in the end) useless...

@Shieldwolf, I hope you all had a good holiday and brought back a stick of rock for whoever stayed back and managed the webstore!

A bit of a shame about the tusks but i see where your coming from, its been a while since the chains were spoken off, was they like the ones in the concept pic, on each tusk and flailing about?

      We are back! :-)
Yep, those are mammo(o)th tusks in the baggies, had to take a picture of something regarding the huge beast but didn't know which! This is also a good time to communicate a number of issues we encountered with the chains on the tusks :-(
      a. They kept destroying our molds after 4-5 casts, detail was going away. Not acceptable.
      b. They resulted in problematic transfer due to the space occupied (one even broke). Not acceptable.
      c. They caused gameplay issues (not possible to line up the enemy unit in front of the model). Again, not acceptable.
We have moved forward to abandoning the chain version I'm afraid and have included only the more "traditional" one. Hopefully people will comprehend the reasons behind this.
As for the tin cans, they are meant for something..."special" :-)

PS. If you drop in our FB page later on today we will be uploading a couple more pics of the production in progress (PiP)
      ;-)

@Shieldwolf, Great update, what is in the metal tins? Is there mammoth tusks pictured in the baggies?
Everyone at Shieldwolf have a good week off and enjoy the sun!
