New film about Philip Glass, Robert Wilson, Einstein on the Beach, and the connection between physics, opera, and human imagination.
1,175 backers pledged $106,429 to help bring this project to life.

We're in the Homestretch!

Dear Earth Movers,

In our Kickstarter video, Philip Glass says that the 2012-2014 tour of Einstein on the Beach was likely the last time that he could perform it with Robert Wilson during their lifetimes.

While Einstein has been a life-changing experience for those who have had the privilege of seeing it, I know that most of you may never have an opportunity to experience this work firsthand.

This is one of the many reasons that I am making The Earth Moves. I feel that I must finish this film to preserve and honor the legacy of this epic work, which changed the face of modern opera.

I am humbled by the support of the 1,066 backers who have helped us raise 93 percent of our goal. With only hours left in our Kickstarter campaign, this project needs all the help it can get.

Funding on Kickstarter is ALL OR NOTHING. This means that our campaign must reach its goal by 7 PM EST on Friday (July 3) or we get NOTHING!

Here’s what you can do to help The Earth Moves get across the finish line:

  • Spread the word about this project on social media.
  • Increase your pledge, if you can afford it.
  • Share our Kickstarter with your family and friends.

With movement in mind, every single backer will receive a very special campaign bonus if we hit our next benchmark goal.

We’ve also added five pairs of coveted tickets to the annual Tibet House US Benefit at Carnegie Hall hosted by Philip Glass!

Philip Glass, the concert’s Artistic Director, brings together amazing, original line-up of contemporary artists.

You and a guest will attend the concert in early 2016 and receive access to rehearsals. Past performers include Patti Smith, The Flaming Lips, and many more!

In the meantime, I'm dialing in with another update from my cellphone. Watch me highlight one of my favorite rewards, The Dog and Pony show!

Your support is more crucial now than ever. I’ve spent four years researching, crafting, and editing this film and I can’t finish it without you.

As an independent thinker, I believe Einstein on the Beach deserves a documentary like no other. Join me in being #IndependentNotAlone by helping The Earth Moves reach its Kickstarter goal!

With gratitude,
