About this project
Hayride is an upcoming horror film starring Richard Tyson (Black hawk down, Kindergarten Cop, There's something about Mary) and JD Evermore (Walk the line, Waiting, The Mechanic) Directed by Terron R. Parsons This is our first of two films in development with Richard and the first feature film to be released under the Bird/Bone Pictures label.
Already, so many people have pledged their time, effort, expertise, and equipment to the project that we are able to produce the film on a shoestring budget. All of our equipment (cameras, lights, etc.) and locations are covered, as well as the labor involved, but the economy is such that in-kind (non-monetary) contributions are all most can afford. THAT is where you and Kickstarter comes in! We are trying to raise the $12,500 we need to cover post production (Editing, soundtrack, titles/graphics). It may sound like alot but ANY amount you are able to give will be unbelievably helpful and as little as $1 will get your name in the film's credits! Thank you so much for your interest and support in this project and please continue to spread the word!
"This project began about two years ago, on a late night trip to Wal-mart a few days before Halloween, when I and Thomas Hatchett got into a long conversation about our favorite horror movies. We ended up spending more time than I'd like to admit playing with some of the halloween props and costumes and discussing what we'd like to see done with the genre. About a month later and we had a very detailed and very good outline for a "low budget slasher". It wasn't until a few months later during a meeting with Richard Tyson about another movie we have in the works, that he brought up low budget horror movies and his desire to see a “good one” produced. I told him about our project "hayride" and how it could be a pretty cool film. After a lengthy conversation and many cups of coffee, we decided that "Hayride" had to be made! After countless hours of preproduction, over a year and a half of hard work, and more set backs than I can count, this project is almost finished!. Your support on this project means more to us than you could possibly understand and we can't thank you enough! On behalf of myself and the cast and crew, thank you for helping us fulfill our dreams!" -Terron R. Parsons 8/29/2011
