BIG QUESTIONS. for little thinkers.
This is for the second book in the Annabelle & Aiden series, entitled Oh, The Things We Believed! (You can find the first one, about evolution, here.)

In this illustrated book written in rhyme, Annabelle & Aiden watch a cloud swirl into the shape of a face, and Aiden wonders if the face is real. To help guide the children, the 'Skeptisaurus' introduces them to healthy skepticism, explaining how we've evolved to see things that aren't there. He takes the children on a breathtaking journey through incredible myths of old times, from wizards to witches. But when Aiden falls into "the gap of ignorance," he learns that mystery can be better than false answers. Young readers will learn how mystery can drive us to find the real answers, which can be even more exciting than fiction.
And can help us change the world.
In a world of seemingly conflicting information and claims on matters from vaccines to GMOs, we think it is just as important to teach children how to think than what to think, if not more. This book will foster critical thinking skills, in a fun, gentle, and engaging way.
The first book in the Annabelle & Aiden series, entitled The Story Of Life, raised $4,400 on Kickstarter, surpassing our initial goal of $1,600, and moved on to become a bestseller on Amazon. As before, we intend to reach out to our ever-growing Facebook presence, and fans worldwide, to help us fund this project to fruition.
We'll be using the same illustrator, Max Rambaldi, whose beautiful works illuminated our first book:

We at Annabelle & Aiden look forward to making this book journey with you again, and hopefully picking up some new people along the way. Help us inspire a new generation of thinkers and scientists, who can help us change the world.
Risks and challenges
We understand there are risks and challenges inherent in any Kickstarter campaign, but are confident we will overcome them even more that we did with our first book.
All proceeds will go towards these expenses:
-Illustration, Cover Design: $1,500
-Printing: About $5 per copy ($500 per 100 copies)
-Shipping: About $2 per copy
-Initial, basic business affairs, copyright, etc: $300-$400
-(Possible) Promotion: $100
Where are we now? The text and page layout of the book has been completed for quite some time. The illustrator is currently working on the illustrations, and she has already completed the first 3 pages of the 24 page book. She should be finished the whole book around January-February 2017, as which point the book will go to production, and will be available just a few weeks later. Onwards!
