My name is Erika Lutzner. I'm a poet and have an ardent interest in the unknown, the unsayable, and that which is both light and dark. I've always been drawn to subject matter that challenges our perceptions of reality.
What is fact versus fiction? People often ask me if what I write is true. I don't know how to answer. Elie Wiesel has a quote, Some stories are true that never happened. Where do truth and fiction meet?
I've asked artists and writers from around the country to interpret this quote in any way they want, and the result will turn into a provocative and galvanizing anthology.
No rules, no structure, no guidelines. Just Wiesel's words and a desire to negotiate the realm of in between. Perhaps more questions than answers will be brought up. I don't know, but this is what makes art consume us.
Come along for the ride—see where these artists take us; the evocative and fresh, the quest for the ethereal or unreal.
