Stellan is a struggling violinist who just can’t seem to catch a break. Constantly practicing and bloodying up his fingers, he finally gets a call from his lackluster agent about an audition with a famed sibling trio. In need of a fourth player to complete their string quartet, Stellan takes advantage of the opportunity. However, when he arrives at the audition, some strange events take place, and rumors are abuzz about the consistently missing fourth player…
A valid question! Everyone of us working on this short film are senior Film and Television Media majors at the beautiful Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. Our final project that allows us to graduate is a short film or script that is about fifteen minutes in length that is of original content and completely built from the ground up. All of our crew agreed that taking the narrative route would be the way to go as it would fuel our collective creativity and would push our limits to prove what we have been so working towards over these past four years.
We would love to create this film using top-notch resources and technologically advanced equipment to ensure the quality of the piece. Our crew does not believe in only half committing to anything, therefore we are seeking out the best of what we can afford for this project. A good portion of the money that we are raising for this film is for prime location, casting, sound recording, instrument rental/prop creation, and equipment. We have locked in the Lyric Hall in New Haven, CT as our primary location where the meat of Stellan’s audition takes place and we are going to cast both SAG and Non-Union actors in New York City at Shetler Studios to play our beloved characters. Here’s exactly where your money is going to when you donate to our project:
- Prime Location Rental
- Musician Doubles for Actors/Actresses
- Equipment Rentals/Purchases
- Transportation/Lodging for Actors/Actresses
- Festival Submission Fees
- Post-Production Costs
- Sound Recording/Scoring

Risks and challenges
Of course, there are always risks and challenges to face during the process of starting the production of a film from the ground up. Some props may need to be downgraded, some scheduling may need to be shifted around, but at the end of the day, this movie will be made, and its quality will NOT be sacrificed. If a Kickstarter reward can't be shipped in time, we will notify you and tell you why. Something not quite working out the way we planned? We'll update all of our backers in our "Updates" section to make sure that everyone is up to date on the progress of our film. Again, all of these plans of action will take place when and if they are necessary should a particular obstacle so arise. Our crew understands how to handle and manage the unexpected in a professional, tight-knit manner that allows us to press on with minor hinderance.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
