I want to host a website forum where people can post funny home videos, pictures and/or stories based on cats.
About this project
I am wanting to host my own forum where people "myself included" can post anything funny relating cats: Videos, pictures, memes (as long as it's original, no reposting from other sites), or stories (true stories or fictions as long as it's funny).
I would want this site to be family friendly and work safe - so no profanity or pornography.
I know web hosting services are rather cheap but I do not have good software for web development. I would either need to buy the software and the computer for this project or pay someone. Either way it is expensive and I need you all's help!!!!
Risks and challenges
Developing a website is time consuming and I work full-time, so finding the time to work on the site will definitely be a challenge but if I receive the support I'm looking for, my free time will be dedicated to seeing this to completion.
PC hardware failure. While I hope this does not happen, no electronic is fool-proof, however, I did receive my bachelor's in computer science and have experience building and repairing PCs so I should not have a problem :).
