Hello everyone...!, all my friends, family, fans, music buddies, people new to my music and alike. Thank you for coming to take a look at my first ever Kickstarter campaign...
I am in the early stages of recording my 3rd studio album, a collection of songs that I've written over the last couple of years. I'm very excited to have started this project. These are all original compositions and are mostly inspired by personal experiences. Each one of them is like a different season or different time of the day. You will find in them pieces of me that are happy, sad, inspired, frustrated, sometimes dark and sometimes full of light. It is in these songs that I am allowed to be me, and I am not always the same.
I feel very fortunate to be working with veteran producer Ben Wisch, who has been at the helm of projects for Marc Cohn, Kathy Mattea, Patty Larkin, Steve Winwood, to name a few.
The initial recordings during the first week of December went very well and I was happy to have Chris Marshak on percussion as well as Malcolm Gold on electric and stand up bass. I owe a tremendous gratitude to Chris for helping me prepare for these sessions, His guidance has been inspirational and one of the main reasons they went so smoothly.
Some of the other performers who will be appearing on this collection are: my good friend Jon Preddice of "Miles to Dayton" fame on Cello; Mr. Jean-Paul Vest on electric guitar who heads the band " Last Charge of the Light Horse"; the wonderfully talented Jack Licitra of "Jack's Waterfall" and "The Waterstreet Blues Band" who will be bringing his piano skills. Also, my lovely wife Dana will be heard singing her harmonies on many of the tracks.
I have saved up some money and borrowed some funds for the early going, but I ask for your help to complete the rest of the journey. Your contribution will help me with the rest of the recording phase, mixing, mastering, artwork, physical CDs, the CD release show and promotion. I am really looking forward to thanking you for your help so please check out the rewards pages where I have put together some very nice packages for you to consider. No contribution is too small or too big for that matter..!
Please go to http://robertbruey.com/kickstarter-rewards to see the rewards in more detail.
What happens if we fall short of the fundraising goal? Your credit card will not be charged for your pledge and i will still appreciate your efforts.
What happens if we raise more than the goal? I will use the extra funds for more promotion and get this gift of music that I have been given further out into the world...!
I feel very fortunate to have had the support of many of you these last few years, coming out to performances, buying my music, and letting my music into your heart.
I hope you’ll consider contributing to this project. If there is anything that connects us all, it is the beauty of music and I am so grateful to be a vehicle for that.
Thank you for considering...no contribution is too big or too small!
All My Best,
Robert, Rob, Bob, Bobby

Risks and challenges
The only thing I feel that presents itself as a challenge is the funding. I believe in this music and I trust in the way it touches the human emotion. This is what I am supposed to be doing and I believe that my family, friends and fans want this to succeed because of those elements.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
