We invite you to join an all-star cast of chefs, journalists, nutritionists and health care providers on a storytelling journey that will warm your soul and belly all at the same time.
InspireHealth has teamed up with Vacay.ca and Fresh Air Publishing to create a one-of-a-kind cookbook, which will include exclusive recipes and health tips from 20 of Canada's top chefs. Funds raised will benefit InspireHealth's mandate of providing world leading supportive cancer care. The book will be available for purchase by late 2016.

Inspiring survivor stories
In addition to the backstories of these incredible chefs – and their recipes – Inspired Cooking will also profile heart-warming and uplifting features of the survivors of this dreadful disease. These will be real life stories of perseverance and survival.
50 Exclusive Recipes
The final chapter of this cookbook will be focussed on healthy eating, including exclusive recipes focussed on simple, readily available ingredients and techniques manageable in an average kitchen. “Superfoods” will be featured, including herbs and spices such as turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and rosemary. Also included will be a range of healthy options, such as: Cruciferous veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, kale, rutabaga, brussels sprouts); Allium veggies (garlic, onions, shallots, scallions); Berries (all, particularly those that grow with local mushrooms); Carotene-rich veggies (carrots, squash, orange peppers, leafy greens, tomatoes, apricots, sweet potato); Nuts and seeds (chia, hemp, brazil nuts, almonds).
Goals of Inspired Cooking – Kickstarter campaign
The goal of this Kickstarter campaign is to help assist with the cost of printing. The production of this project is underway and we are on track for a launch in October 2016.
Taking on a project of this magnitude, for a not-for-profit organization like InspireHealth, is an extremely ambitious undertaking. The upfront support from our Kickstarter backers will assist with the costs of printing the first 6,000 copies of the book. The modest campaign goal of $7,500 allows InspireHealth manage its cashflow, while also creating a buzz before the book hits the market.
Risks and challenges
Besides the monumental task of collecting this all-star list of chefs, this project has gone smoothly with no projected major challenges in production.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
