We made our goal! Now what?
Well we made our goal of $500 but that doesn't mean that we are going to stop there. With your continued help we will be able to fund the series even more. Some of these things include:
-A gong mallet
-A gong stand
-Marketing for the video
-An even bigger gong
With your help we will be able to make this an even bigger success!
New rewards for those who help!
We have added two great rewards for those who help out. The first is at the $3 level. We will retweet anything you want from our twitter account @awkwardmomenttv (as long as it is nice and appropriate)
The next new level is the $40 level. For those who pledge this amount you will receive a hand made bow tie made by Allison Allsop of the blog Freshly Completed (make sure to check it out!). It is an amazing looking bow tie and goes great with any outfit. You are saying that you don't know how to tie a bow tie? No problem. Stirling T. Casablancas will send you a video with him demonstrating how to properly tie a bow tie.
Oh hey, I didn't see you there.
My name is Stirling T. Casablancas and I have been called a gentleman, scholar, vinyl record connoisseur, and the most pleasantly awkward person. I enjoy a high sense of class and sophistication in my humor that unfortunately is hard to find these days.
Instead of looking for this type of humor I decided to make my own by teaming up with the youtube series Awkward Moments In Life to create a new web series called "You Just Got Gonged!"
The concept is simple - we go up behind people in public with a gong and bong the gong - surprising them and instilling laughter in all that watch. This is more than your average "prank" show - this is a new web series with many possibilities. There will be many different themed shows such as:
You just got gonged in a library
You just got gonged at the park
You just got gonged at your front door
You just got gonged at the store
These among many others are the first episodes we will film for this amazingly sophisticated new web series.
We have already tried to film this series but unfortunately have fallen short of the true comedic elements because of the substitutes we have used for the gong. We have tried gongs made of cardboard, cookie sheets, and even an invisible gong. None of these have worked.
For this reason we turn to Kickstarter to make our dream of gonging people a reality. Help us reach the pledge amount of $500 so that we fund this web series.
