This is a collaborative film composed of 5 vignettes by 5 different directors (Those dudes in the video above) about a smoker named Patrick who decides to kick the bad habit.
Chris - Special Skill: the director. This will be his... twelfth?... well, we've all lost count on how many films this guy has made. Chris gets an idea for a film and there's no stopping him from seeing it through to the end - His new challenge and obsession? Directing a script he penned for this project.
Ned - Special Skill: the editor. The "Neditor" - get it? He's had various films of his own make their way to festivals and is very active in the MPLS film community. Not only will Ned be "nediting" his own piece; he will also be directing the vignette he wrote for this project.
Ethan - Special Skill: the writer. When it comes to words, he... probably should have written this description... This guy knows how to steer your mind in the right direction. Along with writing his own vignette, Ethan will also be exercising his directorial skills.
Rex - Special Skill: the artist. He will be in charge of how the t-shirts look and those cool collector cards that you're going to want! Not only is he a writer and director for this project, but his set design ideas will also be seen in every background during the film.
Josh -Special Skill: the talent. He is the main actor in the film and will also be directing one of the scenes he wrote. This whole project is his brainchild, and so if anything goes wrong - it's his fault. Kidding.
This is the first time we have come together as a team. We are bringing everything we've learned and experienced through our extensive years of filmmaking to the table. Despite all of our connections, there are certain costs that we won't be able to afford. We will need to rent special equipment in order to capture the creative vision of the directors, rent out locations to be able to shoot on-site, and feed our actors and crew during the month or so of filming. Plus, don't forget our righteous rewards!
Your support goes beyond just helping us out - Because this is a collaboration, you will become an essential part of the filmmaking puzzle! This film will lead to some new and exciting opportunities for movie-making in the Twin Cities - for us and others to come. Experience is something that never gets old and our group is always hungry for more!
