Hi Kickstarter, and welcome to Zipking!
Zipking is a drinking game where you need to use tactics and strategy to mess people up. It is a fast-paced game, which is very intuitive and involves a lot of drinking. It produces a clear winner and a clear loser, and it is very easy to play repeatedly.
The game is highly influenced by Uno! We think that Uno is one of the best games who use the same characteristics as us: High tempo, intuitive and easy to play repeatedly.
The game starts with each player being dealt seven cards. None of the cards should be shown to opponents. The oldest player starts the game by playing a card of their choice, but here one cannot use a special card. The other cards are placed in a deck with the image side down. In Zipking, you have to follow the same color or value as your opponents. If you cannot use the same color or have a card of the same value, you can use a special card. If you do not have a special card, you must draw a card from the deck. If you still cannot use a card after having drawn a card, you have to pass, and the game goes on to the next player. Once a player has managed to get rid of all the cards, the player has won. The game continues until there is just one player left with cards on their hands, which obviously become the loser and the humiliation of the game.
Zipking contains 82 playing cards, and you can see all of them in a PDF here: All the Playing Cards! Feel free to print, if you print both pages you will get with a background.
Risks and challenges
I have published Zipking before, last time I published under "Playing Cards" - and people told me I should cancel and publish under "Tabletop Games" instead. Therefore, I try it!
I am in touch with reliable Norwegian suppliers, so the cards are ready for production. The playing cards are standard size 8.9 x 5.7 cm, 4+4, 350-gr invercote paper, with rounded corners.
Feel free to ask me anything. I promise I will answer every question!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
